~Lydia's pov~

I wondered around the castle today stressing about how it wasn't long until the ball. I sat down and Gertrude walked into the room and saw me stressing. "Lydia, you are stressed." I turned and looked at her and saw her face. "Yes." I smiled slightly. She sat down next to me.

"Do you want to talk about it?"
"It's the ball, I don't know if Stiles is going to be back, and I still don't even have a dress." Gertrude looked at me and smiled at me.

"Don't worry about it, I will sort it all out." I looked at her surprised "Really?" she smiled and nodded.
"Of course." "Gertrude, you are amazing, I love you." I hugged her and she laughed. "I love you too." she smiled.

~Gertrude's pov~

I finished off hiring the best fashion designer in the country to makes Lydia's dress, I then wondered off to the market again to look for some more fresh fruit and vegetables. The streets were filled with small markets and there were corner shops.

I walked down to a fruit market and saw that there were not selling mangoes, unbelievable.

"Excuse me, sir? Is there any mangoes or watermelons?" I called the shopkeeper. "No sorry, Madam but there is only what is there today."

"Oh, okay, thank you." I walked off until I heard someone calling my name. "Gertrude!" I turned around to see the same man from the other day.

"Yes? So, I see that my name is now not that unflattering for you, now." I said turning my head to the side and crossing my arms around my chest.
"I am sorry. I realised that I haven't given you my name, my name is Elliott." He pulled out his hand for me to shake, I took it and shook it violently.

"Well it's nice to meet you properly, Elliott. I am sorry but I was expecting a more immature name, you know; an immature name for an immature man." Elliott laughed. "Yeah, I deserved that."

"You most certainly did." I fired back at him. "Okay, would you like to take a walk around?" He asked me. "Sure."

I followed him down the street and until we made our way to a little park. I sat down on a little bench and he sat down with me.

"I used to go here as a child, my mother would often take me. I actually ran here once when I was 8, I threw a massive temper tantrum and I sat on the swings." I laughed at his story. "What do you find most amusing, the temper tantrum or me on the swings?"

"Definitely the temper tantrum, but except imagining you when you were a child, I imagined you as an adult throwing a tantrum." He smiled at me and laughed. "Alright, yeah you're right that is funny." I smiled at him.

We started to laugh. "So, do you have any other stories." I asked him interested. "Yes, actually I have quite a few." He said putting a hand on his chest, I laughed at his attempt to brag.
"I was actually used to mimic people's actions. It was really bad, if someone was writing I would pretend to write, it got really soo bad that it annoyed my siblings." I laughed at him. "I am serious, they avoided me when I came back from school."

"So, what did you do then?" he laughed and then scratched the back of his head. "I annoyed my parents." I laughed at him.

"Alright, that's enough with me embarrassing myself, tell me some funny stories about you."

"Fine!" I sighed. "I.. Hmm... Okay I have one. When I was 11, I ran off to my best friend's house, well this was my new best friend of the time since my old one left."

"What was she like?" he asked I looked at him like he was crazy.
She? Do you mean he? I thought and I then realised that I didn't tell him it at all.

"Never mind, I am sorry."

~Lydia's pov~

I received today's letter from Stiles. He was telling me how he was getting on and where he was.

'
Dearest, Lydia,

I am in London, it is quite lovely here but it's always cloudy. Today I went to the office, it is as boring as it sounds, I hate it. The only thing that would be worth it, is if I get to see your beautiful face everyday when I get back to my boring lonely hotel.

So enough about me I want to know how everything has been for you.

Ps: when I get back save a few several kisses for me.

Love Stiles.'

I smiled at the letter and replied to it.

'
Dearest Stiles,

I truly miss you right now, I was wondering when are you going to come back? And are you coming to the ball? Could you please ask your boss?

By the way, I have just had a designer design my dress, however I haven't seen it because it isn't made yet so don't bother asking; and for your information I will not tell you, you'll just have to wait and see. Other than that I haven't done anything.

Ps: is there a piano over there in your hotel? And I would love to hear you play right now.

Love Lydia.'

I smiled smiled at the letter and put it into an envelope. A maid came in and handed me another letter. "Miss Lydia, here is a letter addressed to you." the old maid handed me a letter.
"Thank you, Mrs Brown" she smiled at me and left the room. I opened the letter and saw that it was another letter from Stiles. Why would he send me two letters?

'
Dearest Lydia,

I am writing this letter to you to tell you that my assignment has been stretched longer, I am most likely not going to be attending the ball. However I am doing everything in my power to get home and back to you.

Ps: please don't replace me with another guy by making him take my place with you.

Always with love Stiles, '

I couldn't lie to myself it hurt so badly to know that he might not be attending my ball. I wanted him there more than anyone in the entire world.
"Lydia?!" I heard my father calling my name. Ugh! I swear if this is another thing about that arrogant imbecile Jackson, I will lose it!
