~Lydia's pov~I was sitting up thinking about Stiles, lately he has been occupying my mind; all I could think of was him. I thought about his messy brown hair and his mesmerising brown eyes, I thought about my first kiss, he was my first kiss.
I heard the door open and Gertrude came in. "Hi, Lydia, are you alright? You have been locked in your room for two weeks now." She asked me rather concerned. I have refused to come out of my room for the past two weeks and requested for everyone to leave me alone.
"Stiles is gone." I simply told her. Gertrude sat on my bed next to me and comforted me. "How did you get on without Alex?" she looked at me and smiled sadly.
"I accepted the fact that he didn't love me, but Lydia, Stiles loves you and he has been writing to you everyday. I know for a fact that he wouldn't like to see you like this, the ball is in less than a month we need to find you the most beautiful dress."
"But I am not in the mood for shopping." I told her burrying my head in my sheets. Gertrude took it off my head. "Lydia, it's okay we can just talk, so what happened that day?" She smiled at me. "I went to see Stiles and we hugged and I kissed him." Gertrude squealed with excitement.
"You kissed him! Oh my goodness!" she whispered to me. "And I told him I love him." I said sinking my head back into my sheets. "And what did he say?!" she said giggling with excitement.
"He didn't hear me because the damn boat was so loud."
"What?! Stupid boat!" I slightly giggled at her reaction. "So what happened to you?" I asked her wanting to know what she got up to."Well I went to the market, you know how I am facing up to my fears." I laughed as she flexed her arms.
"It was a different one; more further. But anyway, when I got there I met a guy there, he gave me a watermelon because I was looking for one and I guessed he realised that is what I was looking for. He asked me for my name.. "
"How exactly did he ask?" I interrupted teasing her.
"He asked if he can get a name?" I squealed. "But don't.." "What did you say?""I said Bob, and he was confused but then I told him it is a name just not mine." I laughed hysterically. "You always seem to crack me up."
"So anyways he asked me if he can get my name?" "How exactly did he ask?" "He said, what is your name? I am guessing that it will be beautiful, a beautiful name for a beautiful lady." I squealed with excitement but then realised that she didn't even crack a smile. "Gertrude what's wrong? Do I have to punch him? What did he do?" I asked to which she simply smiled.
"He didn't do anything, it's just that's the same way Alex asked for my name." I smiled sadly at her.

~~Flash back~~
I was 10 and playing around the neighbourhood with my childhood beat friend, Madlynn. This was before she moved away. I ran about trying to find her, since it was my turn to seek.
I searched behind trees, in the house, the garden, the neighbour's bench. Until I found her running from a tree, I went after her and accidently bumped into a boy.
"I am sorry, I didn't see you there." The boy smiled at me, he seemed to be around my age, he had dark brown messy hair and sapphire blue eyes. I looked down at my feet embarrassed at how he was stared at me.
"Oh.. Hmm.. It's okay." He giggled slightly. "My name is Alexander Florence." He gently took my hand and placed a kiss on it. "What is your name? I am guessing it will be something beautiful, a beautiful name the most beautiful lady." I blushed at his flirty comment.
"Jadelyn Jasmine Rose." I told him, having no idea why I told him my full name. He smiled and still hasn't let go of my hand.
"I guess I was right, your name is quite possibly the most beautiful thing I have ever heard." He smiled at me. "Would you like to go and buy some sweets?" he asked me.
"My friend Madlynn and I were playing hide and seek, I don't want to leave her behind." I told him concerned for my best friend.
"She can come along, but I will warn you that I might not pay any attention to her." He joked.I went to find Madlynn and told her about how we were going to buy some sweets, but she said she had to go home. So Alexander and I went to the market and picked up random sweets and went to the checkout.
The shop keeper told me that it was all 3.50 but I only had 2, but then Alexander noticed. "Excuse me, would you be so kind and generous and help a remarkable young lady, buy some food. I know that you would, since you are quite so remarkable yourself, I can tell that you are also kind." He persuaded her. I still have no idea how he is so persuasive.
"Alright, how much do you have?" she asked me. "$2" she smiled at me and told me. "Well today we have the discount, so all together this is $2." she smiled at me. Alexander smiled and then paid for his sweets and left.

~Lydia's pov~
"How did he even do that?" I asked her suprised. "To be honest I have no idea to the day."
"He was more flirty as that guy you met, when he was ten." I laughed making Gertrude laugh with me.
"You know that is strangely true." she admitted."Imagine how flirty he is now." I teased her making her blush. "Okay that's enough." She laughed telling me to stop.
