Chapter 20 - Help Her

~Gertrude's pov~

I turned my back for one second and saw Lydia being attacked by a random guy. I took out the spear and hit him with the back of the spear and then I stabbed him in the leg. Allison came running and shot him with a couple of arrows. I turned to Lydia and made sure she was alive. I kicked the guy in the face, what a horrible idiot.

I checked Lydia's pulse and she was still alive and breathing. I picked her up and put her in her horse. Allison came back with blood on her clothes, I knew well to guess that she had beaten them up.

"Allison, we need to get her to a hospital right now." I said to her. I grabbed hold of Lydia's horse and guided him along. I hoped onto my horse, Mercury. I still chuckle at the name Alex named it, he told me he named it Mercury "Because Mercury is the closest planet to the sun, therefore the hottest making it more attractive."

Allison and I headed off to a nearby town she told me it was called Beacon Hills. Haha Lydia's lovers home, also her future home.

We rode up into the centre of the town, there were markets at the edge of the streets, carriages travelling around at every direction and pedestrians walking around without a care in the world. I see why Lydia was attracted to this town, it was simple and quite beautiful.

~Allison's pov~

We reached Beacon Hills, Gertrude and I started looking for a hospital. I went to random people asking for help, but neither of them could help me. We were becoming more and more desperate by the minute.

We asked another pedestrian again. "Hello, can you help us? We need to get to a hospital." I asked her, she had long brown curly hair and looked around my age. She smiled sadly at us.

"Yes, of course, follow me." she told us. "Thank you.. Hmm.."

"Oh, sorry, my name is Malia, nice to meet you. "

"Allison, her name is Gertrude and this is Lydia." I said pointing at Lydia, who was unconscious, laying I'm Gertrude's arms.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all and I am sorry about your friend." she said sympathetically. "My love is in the hospital, she is also quite hurt, it's a long story."

"I hope she gets well very soon." Gertrude said. I smiled at her sadly. We walked down to a hospital and called for help, Melissa Mccall came running.

"Oh my goodness! Allison what happened?" She asked me. "She was attacked." "Okay, come over here." she said guiding me over passed the reception.

"I need a little help here!" she called for the other doctors. A few doctors came running, they had surgical masks on and they took Lydia from Gertrude, Gertrude turned around and stood frozen.

One of the doctors had stopped and turned to look at us, he took his mask off. "I am sorry but we are going to have to perform a surgery since she is severely damaged, I will call you and tell you when we are finished." He said with an English accent, I realised he had sapphire blue eyes.

"Alright, thank you." He smiled at me and then pulled his mask back on and walked into the room, where they took Lydia.

Malia sat down and Gertrude turned around and took a seat. "What was all that about?" I asked her about her panicking moment. She took a deep breath and then answered.

"That doctor you were talking to is Alex." she said as she ran her fingers through her hair. "Really? Oh my goodness!" I said surprised. "I thought he was gone." I said to which she shook her head.

"I lefted England and came here because it was far, but maybe he found a job over here. To be honest I don't know, the last time I knew him we were 16 now we are 31." she said sighing.
