*Blue's POV*

"Get out of here!" My mother screamed, whipping an empty glass beer at me as I quickly slipped on my rainbow tennis shoes. My eyes widened as the beer bottle smashed against the wall next to my head, sending glass shards everywhere, and I ran to the other side of the hallway.

"Mom, I just wanted to know if-"

"GET. OUT." I stared at my mother, her green eyes piercing, her gray hair a tangled mess, and quickly ran out the door, grabbing my messenger bag on the way out.

             Mom always did this.

She was an alcoholic, drank about 20 bottles of beer and sherry a day. From all that drinking, she went phyco and did what she just did now. She tries to kill me. I've never thought to really tell anyone about it though, even though it's breaking about 5 laws.

             I don't care though.

Never really have. No one likes me, even my mom hates me. Might as well just get killed by a glass bottle in the head than anything else.

As I ran the rest of the way to school, I shoved through the crowd of kids trying to get inside and barreled my way over to my locker, tossing the dial from side to side. The locker popped open and I shoved my books in there, grabbing what I needed for the first hours until lunch period.

I felt someone staring at me.

Tilting my head slowly to the side, I looked over my shoulder and caught that smart-Alec, Chase Davenport with his eyes fixed on me. He was standing with his sister, brother, and who I assumed was Leo Dooley over on the other side of the school. I narrowed my eyes at him and he immediately looked away once he knew I caught him.

Just as I shut my locker and turned around, only to be greeted by Trent, who shoved me back against the lockers. Hard. I hit my head, but didn't show any pain, putting my mask on.

I recoiled and looked back over to see Trent laughing, staring at me. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see the Davenports' staring. Again.

"What do you want, Trent?" I asked through gritted teeth.

"Nothing. I just thought it would make my day to make fun of your creepy eyes once again." My eyes.

My stupid magenta eyes. Everyone notices them. I HATE it. I hate my eyes. I don't even know how I got them, and all that I get from them is insults.

Oh my god, what is she, some sort of alien freak?

Are you okay? Your eyes look bloodshot. No, like the entire eye.

Eww. I would hate having eyes like those.

     FREAK.

I asked my Science teacher once, and when I told her the genotype for my mom and my dad, she asked me if I was just wearing contacts. NO. No one seems to know how I got them, but I honestly don't really care about them anymore. I just wish people would stop making comments.

"Just leave me alone, you stupid imbecile." I snapped, shoving past him, only to lock eyes with Chase, which I immediately unconnected. I only got about a foot away from him when I felt someone jump on my back and I let out a scream, falling to the ground, back first.

The one who jumped onto me broke my fall, and I got up as soon as I heard the groan come from him. Of course it was Trent. "You're not going anywhere, pink-eyed FREAK!" He screamed.

               "It's not pink, it's magenta!" I cried.

               "Liar!"

That did it. I kicked him hard in the ribs making him groan again, and I heard Leo laughing with glee in the corner.

"You liar, stop!" Trent cried between groans. Eventually, his football team came over and one of them, a really bulky guy, grabbed me and lifted me up by my underarms and held me up, my feet dangling while the others helped Trent up.

"Hey, put me down!" I scrunched up my nose. "Oh my gosh, you smell like BO and month old cat food!" I groaned as the guy holding me laughed. The Davenports' were still staring. I wished they'd leave.

I watched as Trent got up and walked over to me, brushing himself off. "So, I heard you're an excellent liar, huh?"

"No," I said with a healthy amount of sarcasm, "I just like stalking on people through their windows while they're sleeping then tell people I was at the mall. Why? What do you do?"

Trent started growling. Eww. "Listen, I'm going to make you a deal. If you work your magic on my Social whatever's teacher, I'll let you go. And if not, then those nosy Davenports' over there are going to have some fun picking up your dead weight off this floor."

I smiled sweetly at him. "Sorry, Hun. I only work for myself. You'll have to talk to my lawyer about that one in Octobuary."

Trent seemed to buy it. "Okay, just give me the number. I mean - before I rip your face off." Aww. How cute. He was trying to act tough. Wow, this guy is really easy to lie to.

I grabbed his head and wrote the number to a Chinese takeout restraunt on his forehead with a sharpie. As I popped the lid back on, I swiftly kicked the guy holding me right between the legs. He groaned and dropped me, clutching where I hit him, and I heard the Davenports laughing.

Trent grabbed my arm just as I was running by, but I jerked it away and kept running, passing by the Davenports who were still looking at me. As I ran past them, I locked eyes with Chase for three seconds, then looked away, and kept running.

This is what I do best.

If I'm going to spend the rest of my life alone, the least I can do is give them a reason to hate me. And, lucky me, I actually found something I enjoy doing!

Lying.
