*Blue's POV*
Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo had taken me to a place they called the Lab. I was taken aback by the high tech in this place as they tried naming off all the inventions, including their capsules.
"You guys aren't keeping me here to kidnap me are you?" I joked. That was the first time I'd joked in a while.
"Well, since you know about our bionics, we figured you should stay around us for right now," Bree said cautiously. She glanced at Chase and he nodded permission, "you see, Blue, there is... A man, his name is Krane, and he is trying to hurt us. He has bionic powers too, and he's trying to build a bionic army in order to eliminate us. That's why we're going to keep you here. Because if he finds out that you know about us, he can use you as bait and hurt you in order to lure us to him."
I stared at them.
This was a whole lot to take in. "I understand." I nodded my head, and then suddenly an idea came to mind. "Wait, if your father is Donald Davenport, one of the most smartest people on the world, aside from Chase," I smiled at him, "then maybe you guys can help me."
They looked at me with confused expressions. "Everyone makes fun of my eyes. You aren't just born with these abnormal magenta eyes. Whenever I look closely at them in the mirror, it looks like my eyes aren't eyes at all, the magenta coloring looks like it has words in it. Something is wrong with them and maybe since you guys know so much, maybe you could help me."
Chase started nodding really fast, like he had an idea and grabbed my arm, pulling me to a console and began typing, pausing to tell Bree to go get Mr. Davenport.
"Wait so you have words in your eyes?" Adam asked me and I nodded. "Oh my gosh that's weird!"
"Thanks for clarifying that." I pressed my lips together in utter frustration. This was the day that I may finally figure out what was wrong with me. Why my eyes had words in them. What was going on.
I didn't even realize what I was doing until I hugged Chase from the side. He stopped typing to pull me closer than I had wanted, but I didn't move for some reason. "So, you're super smart?" I asked into his chest.
"Technically the smartest person on the earth." He smiled into my hair. Finally, I realized how close we were and pulled back slowly, unsure, and then stepped back to watch Mr. Davenport hurry in.
He took a good look at me and then asked me to take a seat on top of a counter space so he could get a good look at my eyes. Boosting myself up onto the counter, Mr. Davenport grabbed a machine and rolled it towards me, then flicked on a light that turned the machine to an electric blue.
"This is my magnifier machine, it allows me to be able to see deep into the color of your eyes. All you need to do is put your chin on this little flap and don't blink." I hesitated, looking at this scary looking machine.
"This isn't going to hurt, is it?"
Mr. Davenport widened his eyes and then started laughing, turning his head to Chase, who was right next to me. "Certainly not for me!"
He moved the machine closer to me and I rested my chin on the flap, staring wide eyed into what appeared to be a giant light. I thought I was going to turn blind for a moment.
"Okay, and now... Don't move and don't blink. If you do it will catch the recorder off guard." I did as he told me to, trusting him only because he's known for being a genius and could possibly help me.
