Burn

Chapter : 10

Alec's POV:

When I woke up, Raven was already up. She was sitting in the chair by the table. Drinking some water. I got up from the bed, and made my way over to her. When I got to where she was I put my hand on her shoulder.

"Morning." I said to her. Well rubbing the sleepiness away. It had to have been early because the sun was just rising, "The commander says there going to burn Finn's body in a hour." Raven told me while getting up from the chair.

"Come on, let's go see if we can find something to eat. Before we say our goodbyes." I grabbed Ravens hand, and walked outside the hut we were staying in. I looked around till I spotted Aslan the village cook so to speak. He was handing out 'breakfast' which was just berries and some other fruit. I walked over to him with Raven next to me.

"Can osir don some gon bilaik?" I asked him when we stopped in front of him. "Alec, hir teik some fou the others see." He handed us two bowls with fruit inside. "Mochof." I said as we walked away to a near by tree.

We sat down and started to eat, when we were down eating. There was commotion coming form the middle of the town. "Come on, I think it's starting." I helped Raven to her feet. Took her hand in mine, and kissed her cheek. Then we started walking to the middle of the village where the burning would take place.

When we got there Finn's body, was wrapped in cloth and on a wood plat form which was now on the fire. Everyone else was there, Raven gripped onto my hand tighter.

The commander started to speak, "Blood has met blood, Now the murder will burn and the past shall be forgiven and forgotten." She was about to set the fire. When she held the tourch to Clarke, Clarke looked at it then walked to where Asia was standing. Taking the torch from her, she lit the fire then whispered "Yu gonplei ste odon." Some people were shocked that she spoke Trigedasleng. Other weren't that surprised.

Raven was crying, and she to whispered "Goodbye Finn." I squeezed her hand, trying to comfort her. She looked up at me with a small smile, I gave her a sad one in return.

Not long after the flames had gone out, and everyone had said there goodbyes. The Alliance was to be official, when the Sky people and Trikru people fest together.

Raven's POV:

It was early when I woke up, I got out of the bed careful not to wake Alec up. I walked outside the hut, not many people were up. I walked around the village, when I got to the middle of the village, they were setting up the fire that will burn Finn's body.

I walked past the commander's hut, just as she was coming out. "The burning of your friend, will start in a hour." She told me before walking past me.

I walked to the water hole, I got some water, then made my way back to the hut me and Alec were staying it. When I walked inside Alec was still asleep, so I made myself comfortable on the chair by the table. Putting down the water after I drink some. I remembered a memory I had with Finn.

Flashback.

Me and Finn, were sitting by the starboard window. Looking at Earth, it was beautiful. I only wished we could go there one day.

"Hey Finn? Do you think we will ever go back down to earth?" I asked him well looking out the window.

"I sure hope so, I'm getting sick of all this metal." Finn told a 16 year old Raven.

"Well hope is something I guess." Raven replied, looking at the earth with hope in her eyes.

Finn smiled at Raven, when she looked down at earth with hopeful eyes. He only wished he could have so much hope.

End of flashback.

I smiled at the memory, least Finn got to see earth. I heard Alec come up behind me, he put his hand on my shoulder. I remembered the kiss we shared the night before, I blushed slightly looking down at the table.

"Morning." Alec said, "The commander says there going to burn Finn's body in a hour." I said as I was getting up from where I had been seated.

"Come on, let's go see if we can find something to eat. Before we say our goodbyes." Alec grabbed my hand and lead us outside, he looked around till his gaze settled on a man that was handing out what looked like food.

We walked over too him, Alec and him started speaking in Trigedasleng. I looked around people were starting to do there daily routine, some were sharpening there spears. Others were getting food. Even some kids were chasing each other around the village.
When Alec was done talking to the man, we walked over to a near by tree and sat down. Alec handed me a bowl which was filled with fruit. I started eating mine. We ate in silence, it was a comfortable silence not awkward.

When we were done, I heard some commotion coming from where Finn's body was. "Come on, I think it's starting." Alec said well helping me to my feet, he took my hand in his, then kissed my cheek. I tried not to blush when he did so. Then we started walking to where they would burn Finn.

When we got there, Finn's body was on a wooden plat form, he was wrapped in what looked like cloth, the fire was yet to be lit, I gripped Alec's hand tighter.

Then the commander started speaking, "Blood has met blood, Now the murder will burn and the past shall be forgiven and forgotten." She shouted to the people that had gathered around.

Just as she was about to lite the fire, she looked over at Clarke and held the torch out to her. Clarke looked at it as if she wasn't sure if she should. But then she walked over to where the commander was standing took the torch from Asia, and lite  the fire. Finn's body went up in flames. Clarke whispered "Yu gonplei ste odon." Some people around us gasped, surprised that Clarke had spoken Trigedasleng.

Other weren't that surprised, tears were running down my face, I couldn't stop myself from crying. I whispered "Goodbye Finn." I felt Alec squeeze my hand in a attempt to comfort me. I looked up at him and gave him a small smile, he gave me a sad one in return.

After the flames had gone out, the commander said that we were to have a fest to complete the Alliance.
