NaLu One Shots

Lucy POV:
The warm smell of burning charcoal filled the air as I took my first lucid breaths of the morning. A familiar warmth was wrapped around my body, hugging me with heat. The soft blanket; always keeping me warm in the morning, my pillow; delicately holding my head as I slept.

I squeezed my blanket, pulling it closer and lifting one leg over it. Just as I was about to place my leg down on top of it, a groan erupted the silence of the apartment. A groan coming from my bed. I was frozen in place; face still buried into the comforter, leg hovering.

I slowly lifted up my head, opening my eyes. My eyes opened wider than expected once I noticed the familiar pink tuft of a dragon slayer lay infront of me.

I questioned the reason Natsu was lay in my bed. Why he was even in my apartment in the first place. I didn't let it bother me though. I pulled down the comforter, revealing his peaceful, tanned face; breathing in and out. He looked so content. I didn't notice the smile creep up on my face as I studied his, or the blush that tickled the skin of my cheeks. I just lay, head in one hand, watching. The reason as to why I was watching I did not know. The reason as to why I didn't wake him was never answered either.

The sun flickered through the shut blinds of my apartment, letting in a faint, yellow glow. Natsu began to stir, letting out another groan as the sunlight hit his eyelids, beckoning him to consciousness. His eyes lifted open heavily; darting around, trying to determine the new area they were awoken in, before settling on me. A soft smile tugged at his pink lips, mimicking my own.

"Morning Luce" The words escaped his mouth in a husky mess. He lifted his head, propping it on a hand like me. We sat facing one another; examining eachothers messy bed hair, tired eyes and genuine smiles.

"Hi" I replied back, simply. No more words were needed. The moment was weird, but neither of us wanted to disturb it. After all, me and Natsu were just team mates, partners, best friends; nothing else. He had often stayed in my apartment over night, though the couch being his usual place of residence.

A hand reached out from under the blanket, delicately grazing my cheek as it pushed a piece of my golden hair behind my ear; leaving a slight trail of tingling across my skin. The hand remained there, not letting the hair stray away again.

Our eyes locked, looking into the opposite with deep meaning. A hidden conversation taking place as the colours of the iris danced, the pupil however, remaining unmoved.

His hand moved, traveling down my neck to meet my lower back. It flattened out and pressed with a gentle force, pulling my whole body to the source of the hand and heat.

Now we lay, bodies nearly touching and eyes still locked. His breath tickled my neck and I'm sure mine did the same to his.

"Luce" He repeated my name like earlier, husky; as if he hadn't spoken in a long time, as if the word held meaning that just needed to be expressed.

"Why are you in my bed?" These words left my mouth without permission. I frowned at the choice, not understanding why that was what my mouth had desired to say.

"I missed you" He said.

His hand now rubbing little circles at the bottom of my back. Heat followed his touches, leaving a sensation of butterflies behind. Slowly his face leaned towards mine. My eyes closed as his lips barely brushed mine. His lips passed mine, grazing my skin as they journeyed upwards, tickling the corner of my eye before pressing down in a soft kiss.

His lips lingered against my skin, before pulling away. I opened my eyes to look at the boy. He was looking back. I felt confused, this was Natsu, yet it wasn't. The Natsu I knew would be dragging me to the nearest resturant right now to buy him food, or dancing around the tables of the guild hall with Happy. But here he lay, with me.
