"Don't be silly Natsu." Whispered the blonde as her hands reached out to gently grasp his jaw. Her thumb stroked one side; up down, up down. Soothing. "I know you didn't mean it." She continued. Her voice floated through the air quietley, like a soft cloud going past. "I forgive you." She whispered again, leaning towards his left ear as she spoke. Her hot breath poured down the boys neck, summoning goosebumps to dance across his skin.
"I-I-" He croaked, making eye contact with the girl as she pulled from his ear. She placed a delicate kiss on his lips, silencing the sounds escaping them.
"I told you." She started again, "It's okay."
"Plea-Please" His words were forced, struggling to break free as his throat tightened. "Lu-Lucy." Could she not see that he was in pain?
All of a sudden her hands withdrew, leaving cold air to slap the skin of his jaw. He looked back up, but his eyes didn't find her chocolate brown ones. Instead they aligned with a new pair. A pair that were hollow and empty. Her usual pink lips had washed from colour, tugging into a sly smirk that showed her newly pointed teeth.
"Lucy, w-whats-" He tried to question. Question what was happening? What was he seeing? Why was she changing? But his throat tightened again, as if a pair of hands were gripping, squeezing, draining away his voice. His body was still hurting; pain circling around every inch. He couldn't move.
"I said I forgive you." The girl spoke again, her voice now hard and soulless. She leaned forwards, becoming close to the boys face once again. "Everything is okay."
But it didn't seem okay. The room had become dark, his vision hazy. He was using all his energy just keeping his eyes open.
Please, he tried to say. Please stop. Stop the pain. But this time he couldn't. His voice was gone, sucked away. He blinked and her face was closer. Her smirk widened into a smile. Not Lucy's smile. No, not Lucy's.
She was grinning; sharp teeth pressed together tightly. A little rumble emitted from her depths.
"It's time to feast."
It was like he was paralysed as the panic washed over him. He watched as her eyes turned black, her fingers looking a lot more menacing and long but most of all her voice. It wasn't the voice of Lucy. It was cold.
She leaned closer. Too close for comfort.
"I need you to do one last thing." She whispered, grazing her fingers across his sculpted jaw, her now long nails scratching at his neck. "Wake up."
He frowned.
"Natsu..."
"Natsu wake up."
His body was suddenly being moved, side to side. His vision became black before a bright light seeped through. Natsu opened his eyes, a blury face ahead of him, leaning over him as a pair of arms gripped his own. Shaking.
"Hey, you awake?" The shaking stopped.
"Wha-" The boy rasped, squinting as his eyes adjusted to a new light. "Lucy?"
"Are you okay? You were groaning in your sleep..." She said, her hands reaching up to check his forehead. "Ew and you're sweating like crazy!"
The girl recoiled her arm, a disgusted look planted on her face due to the sweat now on her palms. Eventually a worried look took over as she leaned back down toward the dazed boy.
"Natsu are you okay?" She asked, pressing her arm against his forehead once again. "You don't have a fever or anything..."
"Just a dream." He said to himself quietley. He sat up, taking in his surroundings. He was in Lucy's house, lay on her couch. He must have fell asleep.
