NaLu One Shots

"Natsu, come on!" Lucy pleaded as she  struggled in the kitchen to balance four plates in one arm and four glasses in another. "Everyone's gonna get here soon and I need some help!"

The boy was sat on the sofa to the otherside of the room, ignoring her calls for help. Lucy had invited some others from the guild around for dinner and as usual Natsu had decided to turn up to Lucy's house early and provide zero help.

The blonde sighed loudly as she picked up a packet of biscuits and hurled it across the room at his head.

"Ow!" The boy yelled as it hit him and he turned to her wide eyed.

"Get your ass up right now and help me!" She demanded, pointing at him with her finger and the sternest face she could.

"Come over here and make me." He smirked at her from the other side of her room. The blonde paused for a minute as she looked at his grin - he really had it coming.

"As you wish." She replied.

He looked at her blankly for a second, not expecting her to actually come over. She put down what she was holding in the kitchen and didn't say a word as she walked over to him - standing above him sat down on the sofa, she took whatever he was holding out of his hand and placed it to the side.

"That's not gonna stop me from picking it up aga- uh.." he stopped mid sentence as Lucy lifted a leg and placed a knee on one side of him, then doing the same with the next.

With a leg on either side of his waist she leaned forward, so close to his face that her breath trailed down his neck, giving him goosebumps.

"Luc-" his words were cut off short when she leaned forward and pressed her lips against his in a kiss. Though she barely wegave him time to kiss her back before she pulled away, slid off his waist and went back to the kitchen.

It took Natsu a few seconds to collect his thoughts. The feeling of Lucy's body and lips pressed against him still lingering. He jumped up off the sofa, following her immediately to the kitchen.

"What was that?!" He gasped, following the blonde closely as she walked around the kitchen island, paying no attention.

"Hm?" She continued chopping up some vegetables she was previously dealing with.

"LUCY!" He said a little louder, waving his hand infront of her face as she tried her best to hold back a smile - she loved the power she had over him. "Hello?"

"What?" She glanced at him briefly, but it gave her enough time to take in his red exasperated face.

"You just-!"

"Just what?" She loved to mess with him.

"You cant just-"

"I think I just did." She put down her knife, turning to face  him with a wide grin on her lips.

"Oh yeah?" Natsu mirrored her expression. "Well then I guess so can I."

"Wha-" she began, but before she could finish her sentence, had been pushed across the kitchen so her back gently hit the wall behind her. Both of Natsu's hands held her wrists to either side of her head.

"If you think this is you helping me in the kitchen then you're wro-"

Before she could finish, Natsu pushed his lips against hers - staying there longer than she had allowed him previously. When she began to kiss him back he let go of her wrists and placed his hands on either side of her hips.

His smile curled against her lips as she moved her arms to wrap around his neck lightly. He totally loved this girl.

"I win." He finally spoke, pulling away to see her red face.

Her arms dropped to her side as he gave her a taste of her own medicine and walked away to sit back on the sofa. She felt frustration bubble inside her, but couldnt help but smile - they were a competitive pair, yet somehow Natsu always seemed to win.

"Whatever." She mumbled to herself as she went on to continue doing was she was previously doing in the kitchen.

Her heart warmed when she looked up to see him looking back at her with a sweet smile.

"I love you, you idiot." He called across to her.

"I love you too I guess." She joked, smiling brightly at him.

That was when the door knocking echoed around the apartment, and it was time for their double date.
