Lucy's POV
I walk in the streets of my home, located on a small island on the far east of Britain.

This small island was called Ladarius.

I should actually call the island a "Kingdom."

After all, I am a Princess

After all, I am a Princess.

Anyway, where was I?

Ah, yes, me taking a brisk stroll through the town square.

I love my home. It's a place that no one knows about. Everyone is welcome in and out.

Life, here, in Ladarius, is amazing!

I was just making my way to the market, when I heard shouts and fretful whinnys.

I stop in my tracks and follow the sound to the horse stables.

I gasp.

There, right before my eyes, was a beautiful black horse.

She was standing on her hind legs in the glorious sunshine.

But what else was there to see?

A man, whom I knew by the name of Mr. Merriman, stood in front of the beautiful stallion.
He was tightly gripping a rope that was tied around her neck.

But the horse didn't like it so much.

Soon, her front legs were pawing the air.

"I've had enough of you!" Mr. Merriman barked. "You good for nothing-"

That was when I came in.

"Mr. Merriman!" I call.

Mr. Merriman heard me and soon eased off the rope in a matter of seconds. He turned around and saw me.

Even the horse seemed to stop going all crazy.

I clear my throat and make my way cautiously towards Mr. Merriman.

"Why, your highness!" he said, as if he were surprised to see me.

"Good morning, Mr. Merriman." I say, standing up straight and tall like a proper Princess.
"What a beautiful looking horse you have!"

I stroke the horse's muzzle gently as Mr. Merriman spoke.

"Aye, she is beautiful indeed! But yet, stubborn. I just can't seem to get her to move!"

"Need a hand?" I ask.

"But you'll get all dirtied up, my dear!"

I shake my head. "Nonsense! I'll be fine. I'll lead her inside the stall and you can do the rest."

Mr. Merriman's lips formed a courteous smile.
"Why, thank you, your highness."

"Well, it is a Princess' duty to help those in need." I say, taking the rope and leading the horse inside.
********************************
Later, me and Mr. Merriman stayed and chatted for a while.

"Your highness, I know I'm not supposed to tell you but, however, you should not be out here. You know how predictive your mother is."

I sigh.

Everyone knew that I was told everyday not to venture outside of the castle. For there were too many dangerous things in the real world.

Like witches who wanted to use me as bait.

That actually happened when I was nine.

I was so afraid.

"I know, I know," I say trying to change the subject. "But I'm just so tried and tired of all the rules!"

"Well now, I may not be of royalty; but, I did know your father. And boy, was he a hard-working Prince himself. Oh, may God rest his soul. It's a shame he isn't here with us still."

I nod in agreement. "Indeed, it is..."

Suddenly a man in a red officer's jacket came on a white stallion.

It was my second-in-command officer, Frank.

"Your highness, you need to come with me." he said.

"Wait, why?" I ask.

"The Queen, herself, told me to fetch you for your royal dress fitting. It's coronation day!"

I was completely speechless!

How could I forget about my coronation?
I thought.

Without second thoughts, I jumped onto the stallion's back.

His name was Max.

After that, Frank gave the command to Max for him to canter to the castle doors. And we were off.
