Frank's POV
The whole kingdom was putting on a celebration to honor Flames for his daring acts.

Now we were all gathered around to have a big feast.

Well, almost everyone.

The Princess was still in her room.

"Hmm... where's the Princess?" one of the maids named Mary asked.

"I am not sure." Sara said.

"Your highness, we checked her room but she isn't there." a guard named Nelson said.

"Strange. Has she always acted like this?" another guard named Jake asked.

"No. But eversince Flames has left, she's been acting a bit... upset." Nelson replied.

"Hmm... Frank, you're the one she relies on the most. Why don't you go and check on her? Maybe bring some food and sparkling wine to her as well." the Queen told me.

"Very well." I say going to the kitchen.

Once I was alone, I searched the cupboards for a gold cup and golden tray.

Luckily I found one of each.

Then I filled the tray up with food

and lastly I poured some sparkling red wine into a glass

But this was no ordinary sparkling wine.

I secretly added a few drops of no-smell sleeping potion in it.

After that, I take it upstairs and knock on Lucy's door.

Lucy's POV
I sighed deeply as I watched the moon in the evening sky.

There were dark clouds forming above but they didn't seem to be much of a problem.

I hear a knock at the door.

"Come in." I say.

It was Frank.
And he had some food for me.

"Your highness," he said. "I hate to bother you but your mother insisted that I check on you. I also brought you some food and a drink."

I smile. "Thanks. But I'm not hungry."

"Well then how about having a little sip of wine?" he offered.

I sigh. "I don't know, Frank. I mean, I just want to be left alone."

"Come now, Princess. Please? Besides, you need it after a hard week. Plus, you seem like you could use a bit of a rest."

I look at the cup that Frank was handing to me. Then I nod.

Reluctantly I take the cup.

Then I bring it to my mouth and take a sip.

After a swallow, I felt my body feeling weak and I yawn.
Then I fall asleep on my bed.

Frank's POV
"Sweet dreams, Princess..." I said, smirking.

Just then, darkness fell over the whole kingdom and vines started to grow among the castle walls.

I was wondering what had happened but then I shrug and headed downstairs.

I tried to hide my grin as Nelson and Jake approached me with the Queen behind them.

"What happened?" I ask.

"Complete darkness has fallen throughout the whole kingdom!" Nelson exclaimed.

"And where's Lucy?" Sara asked.

"She... died." I lied.

All three gasped.

"What happened?" Jake asked.

I took a seat. "I was knocking on the door, but there was no answer. I waited a few moments but she still didn't say anything from the other side of the door. And when I entered her room..." I paused for dramatic effect. "I saw her on the bed with this in her hand."

I pulled out the bottle of sleeping potion.

"Oh no," Sara said. "Not Lucy too..."

"I'm afraid there's nothing we can do..." I say lowering my head.

"What do you think happened?" Nelson asked.

"I think it was Flames Pond's fault." I say, trying to make my voice sound sorrowful. "Before Flames left, I overheard a conversation going on between him and the Princess. Lucy was explaining to Flames how she really felt about him. But she never got the answer she wanted to hear. Instead I heard Flames say he didn't feel the same way for her. And that must've left her broken inside. So broken that she decided to commit suicide. So that she didn't have to remember that conversation."

"That's ridiculous!" Jake exclaimed. "There's no way that that could've happened!"

"How do you know, Jake? Were you there?"

Jake said nothing and Sara gasped.

"Then there's no doubt about it." Nelson said. "Flames Pond is a reckless hero and he has to be dealt with."

"I agree..." Sara said. "Although he did help us defeat Fuzzy Guy and his men, we had no idea he would take matter into his own hands."

"I agree. I'll set up guards everywhere to be on the lookout for Flames. Once he's dealt with, everything will be back to normal."

The guards nod and Sara thanks me for telling them this. Then she leaves as well.

I just smirked.

But I was also unaware of an owl outside, who had listened to the whole thing.
And it flew away.
