Lucy's POV
Flames was very surprised to see me overcoming every obstacle thrown at me.

I stopped and looked at him.

He kinda just stood there as if a rainbow had come out of nowhere. Or he was simply dumbfounded.

"What?" I ask.

"Nothing." Flames said with a shrug. He looked at his feet.

Then I shrugged as if there was nothing suspicious.

Suddenly an alarm goes off.

Alert! Alert! We have trouble!

"What's happening?" I ask.

Flames didn't respond and was out the door.

Flames's POV
I ran into the other room to see my good friend, Tony.

"Who is it? Fuzzy Guy?" I ask.

Tony nodded. "Yup! And it appears that he's on full pursuit for that shovel."

I scoff. "Typical. Well, what are we going to do?"

Tony walked away from the podium. "Not we. But you." he said, pointing to me.

I was shocked. "Me?!"

"Well, I have other stuff that I have to attend to." Tony said.

"Well, what about Lucy?" I ask.

Tony raised an eyebrow. "Lucy?"

"The Princess!" I say.

"Oh, well, I say you take her with you." Tony said.

He started walking away. But I followed close behind him.

"Woah, woah, woah! Now hold on!" I say, cantering down after him.
"Tony, are you kidding me? Take her with me? She'll get killed! Or worse."

Tony stopped and I did as well.

"That's why you're going to protect her. After all, you did rescue her from Fuzzy Guy. And I think she deserves to see what it's like. She needs some practice anyway. You said you'd train her, did you not?"

"I meant in the training room. NOT, and I mean, NOT with Fuzzy Guy's men!"

Tony crossed his arms over his chest. "You seem a bit overprotective around her, Flames."

I open my mouth to speak but nothing came out. I looked at the floor to avoid eye contact.

"Sorry, I had little sleep last night."

"Understandable. Insomnia kicking in?"

I nod.

"Just take it easy, man." Tony said, patting me on the shoulder then walking away.

I wanted to shout back.

But I ended up muttering, "I'll try..."

Lucy's POV
Momentarily, I see Flames come back.
He seemed to be a bit stressed.

"You alright, Flames?"

He nodded. "Yeah. It's just... that, er..."

"What?" I ask, dying to know.

"..... You've been chosen to go on a mission with me."

My mouth dropped open with shock. "You're kidding!"

Unfortunately, I sensed no sign of joking manner in Flames's eyes.

I start freaking out a bit.
"But... but I have had very little training! And I don't think I can go face-to-face with Fuzzy Guy's henchmen! Nor do I think that I'm ready to face Fuzzy Guy himself! And you're really nice and all but this is just too much! And I can't-"

"I get it!" Flames said, in an annoyed tone. "You're a bit timid! I was shocked too. But there's nothing we can do about it now. Fuzzy Guy's men are hot on my tail and he is already in search of the shovel!"

I sigh.

Flames seemed to notice my change of mood. "You OK? I didn't hurt your feelings, did I?"

"No. It's nothing..." I lied.

I could tell I made Flames worry. He frowned.

"OK." he said.

Then he headed out the door with me following behind him.
