"Hello, my name is Jessica Parker. So, this is your first day here. You're here because I think you need someone to talk to, someone who could listen to you. We'll be talking once a week from now on. How does that sound?" - a blond woman with dark green eyes said to a little boy who was sitting on the opposite side of the table. The boy did not say anything in response. He was looking at the ground with an empty, cold and somewhat sad expression. He was a very small child, about 3,5 feet (105 cm) tall. He had light brown hair, a very pale skin, reddish eyes and rosy cheeks.
"So, uh.. Ch - Chara? Is that how you pronounce it?" - she pronounced the 'ch' as in 'chair'. Jessica Parker was the only psychologist in the small village they lived in. She was said to be very good at her job though the boy didn't change his expression and remained silent. He looked like he wasn't even listening to her, like he was in his own world. She started to worry, unsure about how she could bring him to talk.
"Chara, could you tell me your age, please? In need to fill in your record." - Chara looked up without moving his head or changing his expression. It would probably look creepy if he was older.
"Please, it is important that I write down information about my patients." - Chara raised 4 fingers in response.
"Oh, that's a very nice age! You get to learn so many things. What is it that you like to do?" - she said with a big smile hoping she would motivate him somehow. Chara looked back down to the ground. Jessica started to wonder if Chara could even speak at all. But she wouldn't give up on him.
"I have an idea, let's draw something!" - The psychologist picked up a pencil case and a few empty pieces of paper from the drawer on the cupboard behind her and put them on the table. The pencil case was filled with a vast variety of pencils, markers, chalks and many other stuff you could paint with. She took a piece of paper, a few pencils and started to draw.
"Here!" - Jessica showed Chara her drawing. It was a cool drawing of a cute lion family. Jessica was a very talented drawer.
"Now it's your turn!" - she said, still smiling at him. Chara slowly picked up a piece of paper and grabbed many pencils in a clumsy way. A few of them fell out of his hand. He picked them up patiently and started drawing. He sometimes switched hands when drawing. Jessica looked astonished.
"Wow! You are ambidextrous!" - Chara looked at her confused. Of course a 4-year-old wouldn't know what "ambidextrous" meant.
"It means you can use both hands to draw." - she completed. Chara looked at her like he was saying "what's so special about that?". He didn't know that other people didn't have this same ability. After 7 minutes he was done. He passed his drawing over to Jessica. Her expression changed the instant she looked at the drawing. Her bright smile faded away as she looked at the drawing of a tall brown-haired man with a bloody kitchen knife in his hand. He was facing towards whoever would look at the drawing. Behind him was lying a blond woman who was covered in blood and unconscious. Beneath this drawing there was another one, on the same paper. It was the same man, but closer. He was smiling. The man resembled Chara a bit. He was pale and had brown hair like Chara.
The drawing was pretty good taking in account that it was made by little child. Jessica identified the man. She knew who he was. He was the reason why Chara needed psychological counseling.
