Important note, read this first: I apologize in advance for those who are religious. The fanfic has the protagonist say stuff against religion, beliefs, god and etc. I'm sorry if this offends you in any way but I just wanted to say that I do not support prejudice against any religion and belief. Everyone can have their beliefs and should be free to practice their religion. This is purely for the character's development, so this doesn't mean that I agree with what they say. I'm writing a story about a future murderer so of course I do not approve of his actions and statements, but these are important for the development of the story. If you're not sensible to this you can proceed to read the fanfic. If you get offended easily it's best to walk away from it. Thank you for the attention.

One week had passed. On Tuesday morning Chara went to school. The first class was Religion. He hated it. His disbelief in supernatural stuff was stronger than his hate for the caretakers. He didn't understand why he had to know that nonsense. So he started drawing instead of paying attention.
"Chara, would you please read the next verse?" the teacher caught sight of him. She picked him because he wasn't paying attention but he had his bible open in case something like this would happen.
"Proverbs 14:27 27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death." - he mumbled.
"So Chara, what do you think does that mean? What is the LORD trying to tell us?"
"That we're supposed to fear him so that we can live a happy life...?"
"Exactly. We must know how to respect the LORD and how to fear the consequences of disobeying his commandments." the teacher said.
"That doesn't make any sense. Respecting and fearing are contradictory. If you fear you don't respect and vice versa. And people who are afraid also aren't happy" Chara stated.
"We're not supposed to question Him, Chara. When will you finally understand this? We're supposed to accept all of his commandments without questioning! The LORD is perfect. He loves you and would hate to punish you in case you questioned Him." the teacher said angrily. Chara didn't put more effort into discussing. He disagreed in everything but he wouldn't want to argue with a teacher.
When the lessons were over two of his classmates approached him, a boy with dark skin, brown eyes and curly short hair and a very pale girl with blue eyes and blond hair.
"Hey Chara, the teachers are going to let us play in the yard. Do you wanna come?" the boy asked.
"No thanks, I'm busy." Chara answered.
"Why are you always so silent? You don't talk to anyone. It's almost creepy." the girl said in an arrogant tone.
"Come on, what's better than play with everyone else?"
"I can't think of anything..." Chara said sarcastically. "... but I have an appointment today." he completed.
"I heard you go to something called psychologist. Is that it?" the boy asked.
"I heard psychologists are for mad people. They say you must be pretty messed up too need your mind fixed." the girl said.
"They also say someone must be pretty stupid to believe in something like this." Chara said coldly.
"Hey, don't call her stupid!" the boy shouted.
"I'm sorry, but that's the truth. If you just believe in everything you hear without even questioning it or looking for the answers yourself, you're pretty stupid." Chara had enough of discussing with these children and just left.
