Two days later I'm studying for the essay at Daniel's house again. Luckily he's still at work and it's me and Maria. I don't think I can look him in the eye seeing what he did to Michael. Why did he do that sure he's always protected me in the past and he has punched people before for me. But the tone in his voice and the sour look on his face is burned in my memory. It's scary just thinking about it. Daniel whats got into you.
"Ok, Holding Eros in her lap she called for help to the water nymphs and leapt into the river. In one version of the story, two fish swam up and carried Aphrodite and Eros to safety on their backs, although in another version the two refugees were themselves changed into fish..." Just then someone taps me on the shoulder.
"Alyssa?"
"Oh Maria what's up?".
"It's almost 10pm I think you should get back to your dorm" I look at my watch and see that she is right.
"Yeah your right I'll see you later" I get up and start to walk away but Maria grabs my arm.
"What is it?" I ask her.
"Are you ok you seem a bit pale?" And just like Daniel she can tell something's up. And she was right I haven't slept a wink I've stayed up every night for this essay. But I didn't want to worry Maria.
"Yeah I'm fine" I pull away from her hand and walk out the front door. Not long after I get to the university and start to study again but the sound of my stomach makes it hard. I haven't eaten much either but I want to ace this thing and I'm planning on it.
