Chapter 46

"Hey why are you crying?" Michael asked.

"Sorry but it was just so sad to hear that and you seemed that you wanted to cry while telling that story and it broke my heart" more and more tears roll down my face. Michael then gets up from his chair and kneels down to me and hugs me and stokes my hair.

"Thank you for crying for me in my place, it shows how much you care for me....I love you, I'm never gonna let you go" Michael said as he wipes away my tears. Meanwhile with Derek and Jess.

"Your insane how could you do that to your friend!" Jess yelled.

"I had no choice! It was also to protect him" Derek said.

"That doesn't make any sense how does framing him make that protecting him!?"

"It got his parents to notice him!" Derek screams.

"What?"

"His parents never pained attention to him, even with the good grades he got and the talent he has they never paid attention to him, so I thought that this would get them to notice and it did, Michael was the only family I had...."

"..." Jess stayed quiet.

"I'm a foster child I go house to house when someone doesn't want to take care of me anymore Michael was like a little brother to me...I was so stupid all that to be popular. I'm and idiot" Derek said. Jess then puts her hand on top of his.

"In the end you tried and it kinda worked even though it didn't really" Jess said trying to get Derek to cheer up and he smiles.

"You really are a strange girl" he said he then pulls out his dog tags again.

"I wear these because of the pain I put my friend though to make sure that I never do it again this is a reminder so I don't act stupid again" he said trying to force a smile. Just then Jess gets up from her seat.

"I should go it's past midnight my uni has a curfew it was nice talking to you"

"W-wait" Derek up yells and grabs Jess's hand.

"Even though I told you all this I still don't know you name"

"Jessica" she said with a smile as she walks away.
