I walked up to the mansion and opened the doors. "I'm back!" I called at nobody in particular as I marched up the stairs; bee lining to my bedroom. Sliding open my closet doors I removed the luggage carriers my mother bought: and placed them on the bed. I walked into the bathroom and grabbed my toiletries placing them in the smaller bag. Then I moved onto my clothes; filling the remaining three suitcases to the point I could barely zip them shut. I quickly searched the room; making sure I didn't forget anything, before leaving the room. As I was walking down the stairs I heard shuffling and soon Nik came into view. "And just where do you think you're going?" He question eyeing my luggage. I stomped down the remaining steps and made my way to the door. "I'm moving out." I stated defiantly. "Where are you going to go?" He asks, not believing I would actually leave. I sighed and turned to face him again. "The Salvatore Boarding House, of coarse. Stefan said I could live with him and Damon for a while; and you can't stop me." I huff leaving out the front door. I placed my bags in the car Elijah bought me; a black Ferrari with tinted windows. Moving to the driver's seat I was about to get in but something stopped me. Or should I say someone? "Nik! Let me go!" I shriek struggling in his intense grip on my arm. "You are NOT moving in with THEM." He states without removing his grip. I scoffed and stomped down on his foot; causing him to let go of me, giving me time to jump in the car and lock the doors. I rolled the window down a few inches before replying, "Yes I am." and speeding off, leaving my old "home" behind. My eyes slowly began watering as I drove farther away from the only family I've known for a thousand years. We may fight, a lot, but we are still family. Always and forever. I subconsciously wiped away the tears and hardened my features. There truly is no easy way to leave your family, the key is to make a clean break, try to focus on anything but them. I had always looked up to my uncles and that's where I get most of my habits, when I became a vampire my emotions were heightened making family all the more important. Now I was leaving them and moving on. There was a small part of me that said 'Don't leave them. Turn your car around and go back'. But I wanted this, I needed to leave, for not only my sake but theirs as well. I was a burden, they had enough to worry about without focusing all their attention on me.

When I pulled up to the Salvatore home, I sighed. Putting on an emotionless mask I cut the engine; walking to the front door it seemed as if each step I took the door got farther and farther away. I am dead but yet my heart was thumping in my chest, rapidly. I didn't need to breath but I was hyperventilating. When I eventually reached the door, I hesitated. I knocked, time slowed down as I waited for the door to swing open; when it did, it was Damon. "Why hello there. To what do I owe this extraordinary pleasure?" He smirked sarcasm dripping from his words. "Stop being an ass. I'm moving in." I replied pushing past him. I stopped by the living room and turned to face him again. "Which room's mine?" I question looking at Damon who's jaw was practically on the floor. His eye murderous. "I'm going to kill Stefan." He muttered under his breath before looking back at me. "Just. Pick a room." He sighed closing the door and strutting off to nowhere in particular. Well isn't he helpful. I thought as I walked up the stairs to find a room. As I walked through the halls I opened every door and studied the room. No, nope, definitely not, that's Damon's room, no way, yuck, perfect! I smiled at the last room. The walls were a beige color and the floors were wooden. There was a king sized bed in one corner of the room, a vanity table across the room, there was a balcony, a personal bathroom, and a walk in closet. It was simple, but elegant. Then I heard someone enter the room. I turned and saw Stefan placing my bags on the floor next to the door. "You didn't have to do that. I am quite capable of carrying my things." I smiled. He just rolled his eyes at me. "No 'thank you Stefan'?" He smirked raising an eyebrow. "Thank you Stefan." I giggled as I began unpacking my things. "You're welcome. So what did Klaus say when you left?" Stefan asks as he begins helping me place clothes in the closet. "You are so not moving in with those pesky Salvatores come back inside." I replied doing my best Klaus impression but we both ended up laughing. "That was the best impression ever." Stefan stated trying to be serious but failing miserably. I just removed one of the pillows from the bed and whacking him with it. Then it's an all out pillow fight, that is until the pillows ripped. "Look what you did Stefan." I scold, putting the blame on him. He scoffs. "What do you mean? You started it!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"Nope!"

"Yep!"

"No I didn't!"

"Yes you did!"

"No way!"

"Yes way!"

"If you idiots don't stop right now I will rip your heads off!" Damon growled poking his head into the room. "Unlike you, I am trying to sleep!" He informed before leaving the room. "Your brother's no fun." I concluded, pouting. "I heard that!" Damon yelled from his room. "You were supposed to." I yell back, before continuing to unpack my belongings.

"Finally finished." I sighed plopping onto my new bed as Stefan put the luggage carriers in the closet. "Why didn't we use our vampire speed again?" Stefan asks sitting beside me. "Because that would be cheating." I respond. He groans, but smiles anyway. "So how's you day been?" I question looking over at him. "Horrible." He replies honestly. I chuckle under my breath. "Your day was horrible? Try my day." I sigh rolling onto my stomach. "Alright you win. I'm going to head to my room. I'll se you. In the morning." He excuses, leaving the room. When I heard his door close I snuggled into the warm sheets and fell asleep.

"Wakey, Wakey." I heard someone coo in my ear. "Go away Damon." I groan pushing him away. "No you've got to get up." He persists trying to pull my blankets away but I just roll into them creating a cocoon around me. "Fine I'll just have to find a big bucket of water." He states thoughtfully; I practically shoot twenty feet into the air. "Alright I'm up!" I shriek. Damon smirked triumphantly and left the room. Rolling my eyes I walked over to my closet and picked an outfit. (Outfit:http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=95242425) I entered the bathroom and turned on the shower; before stripping off yesterday's clothing. When the water was warm enough I stepping under the tap and let the warm water cascade down my body.

"Hey Stefan!" I chirped entering his room. "Hey." He replied mechanically as he tapped his ring against the table. "Whatcha doing?" I question flopping onto his bed; placing my head in my hands. "Thinking." He answered looking down at his leather bound diary. I nodded slowly; Damon walked in smirking. "A chipmunk asked me my name today. I told him it was Joe. That lie, will haunt me forever." He teased. Stefan sighed heavily and stood, "What do you want, Damon?" He asked, annoyed as he placed his book away. "Pfft. I was hoping we could hang. You know a little brother bonding." Damon responded. "Nah." Stefan denied. "By hang I mean team up, we join forces, activate our Wonder Twin powers." Damon clarified holding his fist up. I just awkwardly shuffled out of the room and headed to the all purpose room, as I like to call it, cause like everything is here. Then I heard the most annoying buzzing noise; realizing it was my phone, I answered it. "Hello." I greeted a bit too grumpily. "Someone's moody. It's you mother I need you to do something for me."  Mother requested. I sighed. "What do you need?" I question; pouring myself a glass of bourbon. "Meet me at the Mystic Grill, we need to talk." Then the line went dead. I shook my head slowly and put my phone away.

"Hello Mother. May I ask what was so urgent you needed my help?" I droned; not wanting to be here. I noticed the Salvatore brothers at the bar and rolled my eyes. "I need you to get the milling ledgers from the Salvatore house." She demanded. "Why?" I ask, skeptically. She sighed and grabbed a napkin quickly writing something down. There is a White Oak tree out there. If they find it before us, we could die. I stared wide eyed at the note and then to my mother. I nodded. "I'll get you what you need. Just get Nik to find a witch and unlink us!" I whisper; leaving the Grill I walk to my car and climb in. I can't believe there's actually a tree out there that could kill me! Not only that but I have to watch out for my family as well because if one of them dies, so do I.
