ANA POV:

“Sage?” I squeak out, in disbelief. “Hello Ana.” She smirks, enjoying my discomfort. When I don’t say anything she continues, “Have you seen Finn?” She questions, hope filling her eyes. “Not since he stood with my grandmother, ready to kill us all.” I reply, laughing quietly when I see her upset. “He was going to die?” She whispers; a stray tear falling from her eyes. “Well duh, you didn’t actually expect him to remember, did you?” I chuckle. She shoots me a glare before stomping off to god knows where. I shake my head laughing; until I notice Damon and my mother. He leaned over her whispering something into her ear before walking away. I roll my eyes; irritated by his cockiness. Deciding there’s nothing for me to do here I turn, ready to leave, until I spot a group of construction workers going into the woods. With a devious smirk I began to follow them.

I stumbled out in front of them and collapsed. “Oh my god! Are you hurt?” One of the men gasps as they rush over to me. “You will not run, you will not scream. This will only hurt… a lot.” I compelled before sinking my teeth into the neck of my first victim. I kept drinking until his heart stopped beating. I moved onto the next and continued until I was draining the last one. “I had almost forgotten how fun that is.” I whisper to myself as the final body drops to the ground; taking them one by one I hid them away in the caves along with every person I’ve ever killed in Mystic Falls. Skeletons from the 10th century, rotted flesh and bones from my visit in 1876, and fresh bodies from my first night back; rats were chewing vigorously at the flesh on the bodies, it was disgusting. I smiled at the bodies before me; dozens of people killed at my hand, so I could live forever. It made me feel so much more superior, reminding me how easy it is to end a human life.

By the time I arrived back to the Salvatore house it was dark outside and there was music playing. “Damon turn this cr- of hey!” I waved when I saw three sets of eyes on me; Mother, Damon, and Sage. I clear my throat awkwardly, shuffling my feet. “Do you know where Stefan is?” I question Damon. “Nope why don’t you call him.” Damon suggests as he continues to dance with Sage. “I’ll just go to the grill.” I state; walking to the front door.

“Hey you’re Matt, right?” I smile at the blonde boy. “Yeah, who are you?” He questions, studying my face. “I’m Ana Mikaelson. I’m really sorry about what Kol did to your hand. He gets cray cray sometimes.” I apologize. “I’ve noticed.” Matt replies, smiling. “You seem nice. How are you related to Klaus?” Matt ponders. I laugh slightly. “I’m his niece.” I inform taking a sip of my lemonade. Matt looked surprised. “So you’re like Baby Original.” He points out, I giggle and nod. “Yeah basically.” I agree. “So how long ago were you… you know?” He asks; trying not to offend me. “Daggered? Since around 1920. Elijah daggered me.” I answer solemnly. Again, he looked utterly shocked. “And I thought he was the nicer one.” Matt whispers, shaking his head in disapproval. “Do you want to sit down?” I offer, gesturing to the stool beside me. “I can’t my boss will flip.” Matt denies.  “I could just compel him.” I smirk. “No he’s on vervain; his wife is on the council.” He states. “Well then, can I have another lemonade?” I grin, laughing. “Yeah I’ll let your waiter know.” He smiles, walking behind the counter again.

I left the grill; a smile plastered to my face. Matt was genuinely a nice kid, I couldn’t find one flaw. Except the fact he doesn’t particularly like my family. But it’s understandable; we’ve made life for him and his friends miserable. I pulled my coat tighter around me, even though I didn’t need it. I began heading in the direction of the Mikaelson house, I needed to speak with my uncle. He needed to know I would be fine. I was walking toward Wickery Bridge, when I caught a scent; fire. I was running in that direction before I could think. Upon arrival I saw my Mother lighting up the bridge, she must have figured out where the White Oak was. Then I saw the Sign, safely hanging on its post. It was made of White Oak as well; so I took it. Then my course was no longer taking me to my old home but to the Salvatore house.

I don’t know why I didn’t destroy the wood but I promised Stefan I would help him. I may be ruthless, but I get my honor from Elijah. When I entered the wooden home I found Damon in the all purpose room. “Hey I brought you something.” I stated, grabbing his attention. “I think you’ll be pretty happy considering Sage betrayed you.” I smirked; I had gotten into his mind, it was fairly easy. He looked at me questioningly, so I pulled out the sign. “This should be enough White Oak to make you trust me.” I grinned as he walked over to me. “You didn’t.” He smiled. I nodded. “Oh, but I did, when I got to the Wickery Bridge my mother was burning it to the ground, but she forgot one thing.” I handed him the sign. “Now you have a weapon, but if you try to kill me, I will end you and your little friends.” I warn. “You just became my favorite vampire in the world, why would I kill you?” He looks to the White Oak, smirking to himself. “Good to know.” With that he runs out of the house, climbing into his car before speeding off.

When the door swung open with a bang, I figured it was Stefan. I approached him cautiously, he seemed tense and I had never seen him like this. “What happened?” I question placing my hand on his shoulder. “Nothing.” he hissed grabbing a glass and pouring alcohol into it. “Come on Stefan, talk to me.” I plead sitting on the couch. “Blood.” He replied; his voice barely audible, even for me. “Do you need blood?” I ask him, trying to make sense of his situation. “No, I don’t. I’m just going to go to bed.” He excused before disappearing to his room. I sighed and collapsed back onto the couch, my head resting on the arm. (A/N: From now on this chapter is going to be a little different than the show.)

I groaned as I sat up, my phone was ringing and I grabbed it. “What?” I spat into the phone. “Well someone’s grumpy this morning.” Nik chuckles, amused. “Shut it! What is it you want?” I hiss; walking towards the basement. “I found a witch and we are no longer linked. Therefore you have no need to worry about anybody, except yourself. I’ll be leaving town, as soon as this blows over and I have my doppelganger.” He informed. I opened the cooler and grabbed a blood bag. “That’s good. Now if you don’t mind I’m hungry.” I replied, hanging up. “So the Originals aren’t linked. We can get started.” Damon spoke up. I spun around only to bump into him. “Yes we can, I’ll help you as long as you leave Kol out of this. You can go for any one of them, except him. He raised me, so just leave him.” I reply watching as he reached around me and grabbed a blood bag. “Whatever. Get ready. We have Originals to kill.”
