What the fuck is wrong with me! I can't go around and kiss Amber like that it's not right....but I can't help myself I can't control it.
" Ryan-" I felt a nudge on my side. I looked up and Amber was staring at me.
" Can you please pass the salad?" Matt said.
" Uh yeah sorry" I cleared my throat and handed the bowl of salad to him.
" You seem focused on something" Kimberly said as she picked at her plate grinning.
" Umm-just work things." I said quietly. She nodded and directed her gaze over at Amber.
" So amber have you had time to hang out with Ryan here he's a good boy he should show you around Huntington Beach." Kimberly smiled.
" Uh actually I haven't really had Time I've been a bit busy kinda adjusting to my new home and settling in" Amber said avoiding eye contact with me.
" oh well darling once you have time call Ryan up." She said as she winked at me.
After an hour of just sitting around the table talking about random stuff it was time to go home.
I walked over to shake Gary's hand and to say goodbye to Kimberly and I waited for Matt and Val and amber to say goodbye before I left with them. Matt was of course buzzed so Val would be driving them home.
" Amber Hun do you mind riding with Ryan back home Matt is going to wake up with a bad headache so I'm going to pass by the store and get aspirin." Val said as she held Matt up so he wouldn't trip.
" No Babe I'm Fine" Matt said his words slurring.
" Uh-no I don't mind" Amber said a bit hesitant. She made her way over to where I was standing.
" Don't worry I won't kiss you again" I whispered as I let out a small chuckle.
" oh I wasn't worried I wasn't going to even let you kiss me" she said. Once Matt and Val were out of the drive away I walked over to my car and held the door open for Amber.
" Im not buying the whole good boy gentleman crap my grandma thinks u are" said as she got in. I just laughed as I got in the car.
" Believe what you want Amber." I smirked.
" ok I will" she muttered.
The whole ride home was silent she didn't say anything and I didn't have nothing to say...it was awkward! My phone beeped as a text message came in:
Dad: Ryan tell Matt to let you crash at his place me and mom went to Vegas for the night sorry for the late notice.
" Fuck" I said under my breath. Amber looked over to see what was going on.
" What's wrong...not that I care" she asked.
" Um I'm crashing at your place tonight" I told her as I pulled into the driveway. Matt and Val weren't here yet.
" I don't have a key to get in" Amber said kinda of annoyed.
" I guess we will just wait then"
She rolled her eyes and pressed her head against the glass window. I started playing candy crush on my phone for about 10 mins. until I heard light snoring. She fell asleep I took off my coat and placed it on her she moved a little but then went back to sleep. 5 mins later Val's truck pulled up and I tried waking up amber.
" Hey amber..."
" 5 more mins im tired" she muttered. I didn't want to wake her up so I got out of the car and went around and picked amber up bridal style. She dug her head into my chest and all I felt was her warmth on my chest. I held her closer to me, everything felt so right at this moment.
" I'm so sorry we took a while no stores are open at 2 in the morning." Val said.
" Hey Val my parents went to Vegas for the night is it cool if I stay here?" I whispered not trying to wake Amber up.
" yeah sure -Matt get your ass upstairs" she said I looked over at Matt he was sprawled on the couch snoring. I walked up to Ambers room and placed her on her bed.
" Ryan can you get me those sweats and that shirt please..." Amber whispered tiredly.
I grabbed her sweats and shirt and handed it to her.
" Thanks"
" Goodnight Amber" I whispered as I shut her room door.
" goodnight Ryan"
I walked to the guest room where on my bed was a set of Matt's pajama pants. I put them on and laid down in bed.
God amber why do you do this to me....you're all I think about...that kiss...but you tell me we can't be together ...Amber please I wish you would just give me a chance....I like you...Amber...
Finally my eyes were getting weary and I was falling asleep.
