"Matt babe, wake up phones ringing" Val nudged me on the side.
"No I'm sleeping" I groaned as I pulled the covers closer to me. Val let out a sigh and got up,"Matt I swear one day I'm just going to chuck the phone at you while sleeping" I chuckled and closed my eyes one more time.
" Hello....no this is valary Matt's wife.....uhh yeah let me get him...ok" she said, shit this meant I had to get up now. She handed me the phone,"here a lady named Sharon Roberts"
" hello?" I said groggily, it was 7 in the morning what could possibly be so important?!
" mr. Sanders, I'm Sharon Roberts from New haven orphanage in new jersey..."
"look mam I have no time to be working for charity, I'll give u guys a check and that's it" I cut her off.
"oh but Mr.Sanders I'm not calling about charity.., I'm calling about your daughter Amber rose"
WHAT THE FUCK! I don't have a daughter nope not possible," is this some sick joke?"
She cleared her throat,"no mr.sanders you show up on her birth certificate"
"uhh whats the moms maiden name?"
" Christina rose....she died a couple weeks back" she said solemnly. I remember Christina we had been together for 3 years and in senior year, she and Ibroke it off when I decided to take music up i was upset broken for weeks but I didn't know she was pregnant.
"umm well I can't care for a child"
"oh but Mr.Samders, Amber is 16 and she isn't a child,it would be best if she lived with you."
"I can't I honestly cant, I'll pay for school, food, and boarding there but not take her in."
"please Mr.Sanders the girl lost her mother and has nobody left besides you, it wouldn't have to be a permanT thing" she pleaded. I though about it but then Again what would the guys say...what would Val say?
"look I'll take her but give me a week just get things situated" I finally agreed.
" Thank you! A week that's fine alright" she said.
"ok thank you bye, we will keep in touch" I said as I hung up.
I jumped back into bed where Val was giving me a puzzled look.
"who was that?" she asked.
"umm well I have a daughter Val and that was the orphanage" I said cautiously
" A daughter...what's her name?...how old"
"amber and she is 16 and we don't have to take her in if it makes you uncomfortable"
"Matt that is so adorable, do you think she likes to shop?!" she gleamed with excitement.
"I don't know I have never seen her" I replied, and that was the truth I had never seen my daughter Amber Rose.
