Star67~Ben Simmons Love Story

Now it's the summer and me and Ben have been together for a couple of months. He's out of school now, so he's staying with me and Nori until school starts again.

Ben and I were at the park watching the little kids play. 

I turned to him and said, "What do you think of me going to school with you?"

 He looked at me skeptically and said, "Why do you want to go to college? You already have a career and you're doing what you love."

I sighed and said, "I want to get a business degree. Then I could open my own salon and I would know how to run it efficiently. I wanna go to school to better myself." 

He bit his lip and shook his head. "Do you really wanna better yourself, or do you just wanna check and see what I'm doing."

 Where is this coming from? "I trust you Ben, I just wanna do something for me."

"You're not going," he said calmly. I looked behind us and then I looked around the park. 

"You must be talking to one of these kids because you can't be talking to me," I said with an attitude. 

"Who's going to pay for it?" he questioned. 

"I am. My parents had money, so they left me a trust fund. I turned 21 in April, so I can use the money now. I don't care what you say, Ben I'm going to college." 

He stood up and said, "If you go, we're done."

I just sat on the bench taking in what he said. I really like Ben, and I want us to work, but I've gotta do what's best for me. I walked home to see that he wasn't there. I checked the mail and saw I got a letter from LSU. I had applied months ago, but I didn't tell Ben. I opened it to see that I got accepted.

I started doing my happy dance until I heard him speak.

 "So that must mean you got in." I nodded my head and I sat on the bed. 

"Look Ben, I care you about you deeply and I want us to work, but I've gotta do this for me. We're done, but I still want us to be friends," I said with tears in my eyes.

"So that's it Star? You would pick school over me? There's a reason why I don't want you to go to, but you can't see it. If you go to school, we won't have time for each other. I'll be at practice all the time, and you'll be doing business stuff and working. I can't deal with that." he barked.

I let out a shaky breath before saying, "You won't have to deal with anything Ben. We're done. I'll find someone who can deal with it." 

His expression darkened and he said, "You won't find anybody that will treat you like I do. There's no body else like me."

 I laughed and wiped my tears. "That's a good thing for me because I've never meet someone so mean and cold heart, yet so loving and warm. I'm glad to know that there's no other people like you out there."

 We stopped and stared at each other before he spoke. "I'll see you on campus Star. Take care."
