Today is freshman move in day on campus, and I finished unpacking my stuff. Now I'm just waiting on my room mate. I hope that we get along because I could use a friend right now. Nori is still my girl and all but she's still in Florida and she's always at work, the club, or a party.

I was playing on my phone when I saw this pretty brown skinned girl come into the room. She looked at me and gave me a warm smile. 

"Hi, I'm Hailey Jones," she said with an accent. It's so cute and it fits her.

 "I'm Star Warren," I said while shaking her hand.

After she finished unpacking, she suggested that we go to a party.

 "The Theta's are hosting a party tonight. It starts at 10 and I don't wanna have to work the room by myself. I smiled thinking it couldn't be that bad.

We went to a few stores, but we ended up getting these matching outfits with these really short shorts. I didn't want to get it, but Hailey said that they make my butt look good. We changed and we went to the venue. When we got there, the mansion was completely packed, so we went outside by the pool.

I was sitting on a lawn chair when someone sat next to me.

 "What are you doing here?" the person questioned. I looked over to see a dark skinned guy with really curly hair.

 "What do you mean? I'm here to have a good time just like everybody else," I said. 

He shook his head before speaking. "No your not. I can look at you and see that you're not the party type and you're not comfortable in that outfit you're wearing. I'm guessing you came here because a friend wanted you to come with her."

I looked at him and nodded my head. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see a girl twerking on Ben. I haven't seen him since we broke up, and this isn't how I imagined seeing him again. The guy tapped my shoulder and I turned my attention back to him.

 "I'm Antonio, but you can call me Tone," he said with a smile. "I'm Star."

His eyes widened. "Star, as in Ben's ex girlfriend Star?"

 I shifted in my seat and nodded my head. How does he know who I am? "Ben told me all about you. I'm his best friend and team mate just in case you were wondering."

 I looked at Ben and the girl again and my blood started to boil.

"Hey, do you wanna dance?" I asked. 

"Are you sure you wanna dance?," he asked with uncertainty. 

I stood up and pulled him out of his seat to let him know I was serious. I started moving slightly until Antonio grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him. 

"Don't get scared now," he whispered in my ear making my laugh.

I got into it and I was really going until I felt eyes watching me. I looked up and saw Ben looking at us with a blank stare. I smirked at him and continued to dance on Antonio. After a few songs, we sat back down in our seats. He wanted to go talk to a girl he saw, so we exchanged numbers before he left.

I was watching Hailey dance when I felt someone sit beside me. I saw Ben looking at me with an unreadable face.

 "What was that?" he asked. 

"What was what?" I said pretending as if I didn't know what he was talking about. 

He sucked his teeth and said, "You were dancing on my friend as if I wasn't standing there watching. And you have on this provocative ass outfit."

I laughed and said, "I was bored, so I asked him to dance. Why do you care about who I dance with and what I wear? You were just dancing with a girl who's shorts are shorter than mine." 

He looked around and said, "I care because we're friends, and I don't wanna see you get hurt. I know how Tone is when it comes to girls. You should also watch out for these other clowns."

 I bit my lip and said, "I'm not interested in him like that. I can see us becoming friends, but that's it. And I'm not looking for a relationship until I get myself together." 

He sighed and said, "Well I'm glad to hear that, and it's good to see you again Star."
