I was sitting in my history class staring off into space. I slept with Ben, and he has a girlfriend. I decided to just cut all ties with Ben, so that we don't do anything again. I don't care for Ratalie, but I respect their relationship, so I'm just gonna fall back. 

I was snapped outta my thoughts when I heard the teacher say that class was dismissed. That was my last class for the day, so I went to the cafeteria to get some food before going to the step show. I felt eyes on me, so I looked up. I saw Ben staring at me with a blank look on his face.

I walked over to where he was. "We need to talk," I said while sitting at his table. "I had fun with you last night, but I don't want that to happen again. You have a girlfriend, and she shouldn't have to share you with me." 

He gave me the side eye. "You two won't have to share because I dumped her."

My eyes widened as I gasped. "Last night made me realize that I miss you and that I need you in my life. Not just as my friend, but as my lady. I had a feeling that you were gonna tell me we couldn't be friends anymore, but it's okay baby girl. I took care of everything."

I shook my head and looked down. "I miss you too Ben, but I don't know if I can handle being in a relationship right now. Believe me, I wanna be with you, it's just that I'm so busy and I-" I was cut off by him kissing me.

"We can take things slow, Star. I'm not in a rush anymore. Our breakup over the summer made me think. I was wrong for telling you that you had to choose between me or your education. I shouldn't have done that and I apologize."

I sat there flabbergasted to hear an apology from the Ben Simmons. He grabbed my hand and continued his speech. "I've watched the men in my family and how they control their wives and girlfriends, and I realized that I was doing the same thing to you. I've learned that I can be firm and put my foot down without being aggressive and controlling. The only time I will be controlling is in the bedroom."

I squinted at him and hit his arm making him laugh. Wow, I never noticed how much he has changed and grown as a person. He is taking steps in the right direction. 

"Oh geez, that was a lot, but I accept your apology and I'm glad to know that you're changing. Now come on, Tone and Hailey are meeting us at the gym for the step show," I said while standing up.

Ben got up to stretch his long limbs and he put his arm around my shoulder. "You know they can't stand each other right?"

 I shrugged my shoulders and said, "We didn't like each other when we first met, but look at us now." 

He smiled his gorgeous smiled and said, "Yeah, look at us now."
