I've been working in the salon for a week and I've been getting loads of clients and I haven't had any problems with Ratalie. Ben and I are still together, but he's giving me the silent treatment. I've tried apologizing, buying him gifts, and I even tried make up sex. Nori said that I should just give him some space. Maybe she's right.

After work, I went to my dorm where I was greeted by Hailey, Antonio, and Ben.

 "What's going on," I said while looking at them weirdly. 

Tone nudged Ben and said, "Ben owes you an apology." 

Ben glared at him and looked at me. "I'm sorry for giving you the silent treatment." Uh, is that it? 

Hailey punched Ben in gut and he continued speaking. "I over reacted about the whole birth control thing, and I'm sorry. But that's not the reason I wasn't talking to you."

At this time, Hailey and Antonio left so that Ben and I could be alone. He sighed, "I was avoiding you because I've decided to enter in the 2016 NBA Draft."

I let out a breath of relief and smiled. "That's great news, Ben. Why would you be apprehensive about telling me that?"

He looked down and said, "I don't want you to come with me when I get drafted. Our relationship has run its course and I think it's time for us to move on." 

I blinked and I bit the inside of my cheek. "Wow, after everything we've been through, you just want to quit. I freaking love you, but you just want to quit and be done. You know what, have a nice life, Ben. I hope you get everything you want and I hope your career is successful."

"I love you too, but I don't think we're right for each other," he said with tears in his eyes. 

Seeing him tear up made me want to cry, but I held it until he left. I guess this is really it.

4 years later

I was siting at a Lakers game with Nori and Hailey. After college, Hailey and I moved to Cali and then Nori came too. I've been doing really well seeing that I have my own salon called Salon Centric, and business is flourishing.

"I can't wait to see Nick Young, with his fine self," Hailey said. 

I rolled my eyes and said, "Nick is alright, but that D'Angelo. Lawd have mercy." 

Nori slapped my thigh and said, "Don't worry about D'Lo, you need to be worrying about Ben."

 I frowned, "Why would I need to think about him. He broke up with me four years ago, and I've been happy ever since."

Hailey gave me the side eye. "Star, it's okay to admit that you still have feelings for him. "

 I shook my head, "If I still had feelings for him, I wouldn't have come here tonight." 

The girls looked at each other, but they didn't say anything else. The guys came out and started warming up.

There was music playing while they were stretching and what not, so I started dancing with the girls. I felt eyes on me, so I looked up and saw D'Angelo staring. He's cute and all, but I hate it when people stare. I gave him my stank face, and he returned it with a smile. I stuck my tongue out at him and he laughed at me. Soon, the game began.

The game ended with the Lakers beating the other team. I wasn't really paying attention to who they were playing, all I know is that they won. Nori had this crazy idea that we should sneak into the locker room, so we could get autographs. I said no, but Hailey and Nori dragged me along anyway.

We had no idea where we were going, so I said, "This is crazy you guys, lets just go home. Ow, sorry." 

I heard someone grunt and say, "No it's my fault, I wasn't paying attention." I looked up and realized who I was talking to. 

Hailey squealed and said, "You're De'Angelo Russell. Omg, can you take us to your locker room, please?"

 He chuckled and said, "I don't see why not. Follow me."

When we got there, we were greeted by the smell of onions and armpits. Hailey and Nori went to get autographs while I just stood there looking dumb. Ben walked out with a towel wrapped around his waist, and I almost died at the sight. I looked away quickly, hoping that he didn't see me.

"Star, Star Warren is that you?" he said while approaching me. 

I sighed and smiled. "Yep it's me. How are you Ben."

 He looked down at me and said, "I'm okay. How are you doing? I heard that you opened a salon." 

"I'm great and my salon is doing really well." 

I got a text from my aunt saying to come home quickly. "Hailey and Nori, we have to go. Athena has a really high fever."

 Ben gave me a look of confusion and asked who Athena was, so I told him. "She's you're daughter," I said before running out of the locker room.
