It's been three weeks into the new semester and I can honestly say that Lamar and I have been hitting it off quite well. He's funny, sweet, and brings me snacks on a regular."Jade, yo, are you even listening kid?" he had this annoyed look on his face while he waits for me to jump back into reality. I rolled my eyes and sucked my teeth at him.
"What Lamar?" he smiled now that he had my full attention, "I was saying that we should hang this weekend, you know, it has this joint not too far from here. We should go hit it up na'mean?" he eyed me waiting for my response.
I smiled politely, "Lamar, that sounds all good, but I'm not positive that my boyfriend will like that. 'Na mean'." I copied his slang in the best new yorker accent I could've done.
His eyes grew to slight surprise when I mention boyfriend. "Oh shit, my bad ma, I dead ass didn't know you had a boyfriend. Real talk. Sorry 'bout that, but he could chill too." he shrugged and his facial expression changed.
I shrugged it off, "I'll have to see what he says." I turned forward prying my eyes away from Lamar to listen to what's left of the lesson he made me miss. The bell rang and I couldn't be any happier.
As I was going to ask Lamar to join my friends and I to lunch, all I saw was what was left his locs going through the door.
"Well damn." screwing up my face I shrugged it off and headed to meet Damien. I was greeted with smiles and a bear hug from Damien.
"I missed you." he said while hugging me. I chuckled and hugged him back. "You saw me yesterday boo." I removed the loose curl that was in his face. I examined his facial structure and thanked God for my beautiful masterpiece.
I didn't realize that I've been staring until a fry was thrown at my face. I darted my head towards Mara. She smirked, "Freak, staring at the boy so hard that I'm sure you bore a freaking hole in his jaw." and everyone laughed at her statement leaving my face as red as a tomato.
Damien kissed my cheek and eased my embarrassment. We spent the rest of lunch laughing and chatting up. The bell rang and Damien decided to walk me to my free period today.
"So." he said and I looked up at him, "So?" I watched him as him dimples formed and my heart did a pitter-patter.
"Can I come over today?" his eyes lit up at his own question and I smirked at him.
"I mean, you can." I made a little face and he gave me a little nudge that made me laugh. "Yeah yeah yeah. See you later Dami." I gave him a quick peck on his lips and rushed into the library finishing off the day slowly.

As I neared the door, a gift was sitting prettily at the front door. I cautiously looked around and saw no one, so I unlocked the door carrying the gift inside. Donny's bark echoed throughout the house so I let her out. Her little body collided into my legs and I picked her up.
"Another one of Cobi's gifts girl, what is it this time? Ooo, maybe another stalker later? Or a creepy picture of me." I said sarcastically and sighed sadly and rested Donny down opening the gift.
Inside was a piece of paper, "Oh great, another threat." I rolled my eyes and unfold the tiny piece of paper. It had a date written.
3/16/16 <3
I was beyond confused at this point. My head hurts and my chest started to tighten. I steadied my breathing and had a seat.
What does this even mean?
As I was studying the note I didn't even noticed the door opened and Ma walking right in.
"Jade?" She called out as she entered the foyer.
