The cozy aura that the house you, Toriel, and Asgore have been living in for almost half of a year caused a small subconscious smile to form, forgetting the anxiety filling your form as Asgore went to make him and Toriel a cup of tea while you and Asriel were getting cups of hot chocolate.
"You look a little tense there... you okay, stupid?"
(E/C) eyes turned to meet Asriel's own blue orbs while his lips still held a smug grin. You wanted nothing more than to get that look off of his face, but instead you gritted your teeth and spoke in an overly sweet voice. "Just fine."
Asriel gave a chuckle before gently wrapping an arm around your shoulder in a comforting side hug. "It'll be fine. I'm not going anywhere. I'll be right beside you every step of the way, so don't worry too much over it."
"I wouldn't have to worry over it if you would've kept your mouth shut..."
"Where's the fun in that though? We had a deal and I believe you're the one that made it so you have to uphold it, no matter what."
While glaring, a growl softly left your throat, barely being heard by Asriel who was sitting right beside you. About to say a sarcastic remark, your mouth opened, but quickly closed as both Toriel and Asgore exited the kitchen with a drink in each hand. A warm smile was on both faces as Toriel handed you a drink while Asgore did the same for his son who had dropped his arm around you as soon as his parents walked into the room, more than likely to avoid another embarrassing misunderstanding.
"Now," Asgore said before sitting on a reading chair across from the couch both you and Asriel sat on while Toriel sat in her own chair, quietly blowing on her cup of tea. "please do explain on how it is that Asriel is with us, alive and well, (Y/N)."
"Every single detail." Asriel murmured in your ear to which you gave him another glare before elbowing him in his side, silently cursing at him until you focused your gaze again on your adoptive parents and giving a nervous chuckle.
"W-Well... it's a bit of a long story..."
The two in front of you nodded an okay for you to continue. Your mouth opened, before shutting again, not knowing how to put your deed into words. So instead you turned to Asriel and leaned into his side, whispering into his ear a request that left your goat guardians even more confused.
When you had pulled away to look at him, he was giving you a strange look but after some hesitance, he finally complied. Standing from his spot on the couch, he moved to the other side of the room as you stood from the couch as well. While Asriel stood, waiting for your cue to do as you asked of him, you stood as tall as you were possibly able to before nodding.
Raising his hand, he returned your nod before making a fist and yanking it quickly to his chest. You gave a gasp as a sharp pain came from your own chest before speaking in a slightly annoyed voice.
"Not so rough Flowey. That freaking hurts, you know."
Gasps came from both Toriel and Asgore while Asriel's own eyes widened as he stared in your direction with awe. You didn't need to bother questioning their voices of shock for you'd already seen it before yet it was still incredibly beautiful and incredibly unique.
