'Oh god... my head feels like it's splitting open... what happened? Where am I?'

Their eyes struggled to view their surroundings as they couldn't feel their entire body. Slight panic filled them as they tried again and again to move. Nothing happened.

Again they tried opening their eyes. Slowly they opened to reveal a dimming light that was still a bit too bright for their pupils to take in just yet and gave a groan in annoyance before trying to, again, move their arm to slightly block the lights.

Thankfully they were able to do so finally as they gave a small sigh in relief, gradually getting used to the light.

'What... where...?'

Carefully, their eyes opened and remained that way, looking up at the tiled ceiling and struggling to remember what had happened when they blacked out. Their gaze first wandered to the right of them to see many monitors not in use and powered down. Memories quickly started to form when realizing they were at Alphys' laboratory.

When the memories of Gaster came to mind they tried to sit up in bed, looking for Flowey in a slight panic, wondering if the picture the mystic monster showed them. A slight shuffle and groan next to their body caused (e/c) eyes to look and focus on the culprit behind the sudden noise.

That's when their body seemed to freeze in a rush of shock and euphoria, tears quickly pooling in their eyes as they smiled happily, not able to control a shaky laugh that sounded a bit like a sob as well.

'Thank you Gaster... I'll never forget you for as long as I live...'

A wave of exhaustion made itself known as their body begged for a much needed rest in order to recover, yet no matter how much they tried to sleep, it seemed fruitless to do so. Subconsciously their gaze traveled around the lab before landing on the peacefully sleeping figure of Asriel.

With a soft smile, they slowly and hesitantly reached over to the sleeping monster before gently taking one hand and tracing the hair laying messily near the horns he had somehow required after taking his true form. The snow white fur was surprisingly soft to the touch and his horns felt exactly like that of a goat's own here on the surface. They had yet to show Toriel and Asgore the weird creature that resembled them yet, but they were definitely keen on doing so.

Asriel gave a soft groan before sleepily swatting away the human's hand, causing a small chuckle to escape from their lips before gently pulling their hand back under the covers and away from his sleeping form as to not be rude and wake him. He seemed as if he needed the sleep extremely badly anyhow.

"(Y/N)..."

The soft voice made them turn over to see Alphys standing at the open doorway, mouth hanging agape and her normally yellow skin had turned an astonishing palish yellow. Her eyes were wide open and her hands were shaking in tight fists at her sides.

They gave a small smile. "Hey Alphys. You okay? You look like you've seen a ghost."

"W-Well... it's just th-that you've been in a c-coma for a month. I didn't know whe-whether or not you'd make it honestly."
