The tension in the air was thick between Rin and Zabuza. He could see the annoyance in her eyes and looked at him as if he was nothing more than an annoying fly she couldn't get away from.
He gritted his teeth. She was still looking down on him, just like she did before.
'Rin, calm down.' Ordered Kakashi. 'That masked one, he's obviously Zabuza's comrade, standing next to him and all.'
'He should stop hiding under that mask and face us!' Piped up Sakura.
'I'll fight him.' Sasuke took a step forward, his eyes narrowed as he observed the masked boy from afar. 'Tricking us with that stupid act, I hate bastards like that the most.'
Rin's face switched, the ice from her eyes gone just like that, as she turned to face Sasuke. 'Oh really, I thought you just hated everyone in general.' She couldn't help it. He was fun to tease.
Sasuke snapped his eyes at her, flashes of anger, he threw daggers with his eyes.
'Don't listen to her, you're cool Sasuke-kun.' said Sakura, which made Rin roll her eyes at her.
'An impressive young man.' spoke the masked boy. 'Even though the water clones only have 1/10th the strength of the original.'
'Still very impressive.' said Zabuza, his eyes never leaving hers. 'But we have gained the first advantage. Go.' He ordered.
'Hai.' The masked boy took off, appearing so fast in front of Sasuke, as he spun around, kunai in hand. Sasuke reacted with as much speed and momentum. Metal and metal clashed hard against each other as the two young boys fought.
Rin cocked her head to the side and looked at Sasuke. Hmm... He's improved. He's much faster, he can actually keep up.
Zabuza was impressed by the boy too, it was hard to keep up with Haku but Sasuke seemed to be doing just fine. He turned his eyes towards Rin and saw that she was equally impressed as well. Zabuza slowly took out a kunai and as quick as lightning, he ran towards Rin. He waited so long for this day, he was not going to wait any longer. He would make sure she understood that he was no longer as weak as he used to be.
Rin turned her head to look at him, but she did not move, even though she had enough seconds to counterattack, she did not. She knew he would not reach her as Kakashi stepped forward and clashed against Zabuza. Another Kunai in his hand.
So impatient. Did he forget about Kakashi?
'Sakura, Rin! Step in front of Tazuna-san and don't leave my side. Let Sasuke take care of that boy.' Kakashi turned to face Zabuza. 'And I will take care of him.'
Zabuza narrowed his eyes. Pissed off that someone always got in the way.
Kakashi lifted his other kunai and aimed for Zabuzas lungs. Zabuza twisted to the side and using his and Kakashi's momentum, he grabbed Kakashi by the collar and threw him over his shoulder. Kakashi was thrown a few feet away before he twisted in mid-air and landed on his feet like a cat. His kunai still raised in his hands.
'Ugh!'
The noise made them all snap their heads at the two young boys. Haku skidded backward by Sasuke's' kick and Zabuza looked at him in disbelief. He couldn't believe Haku lost to someone else in speed.
