"Rin." His hazy pink eyes stared at her. "I won't let you get away."

"Rin..." The name echoed

"Rin!"

"Rin!"

She gasped as she coughed up water from her lungs. Sakura was looking down at her, worry etched in her face, as Rin sat up abruptly.

'Ugh!' She grunted as the sudden movement sent shooting pain across her chest.

She clutched her chest with her hands, only to find blood on them. She looked at the red liquid in wonder.

Oh yeah... She remembered now. I drowned... wait! Naruto?!

She looked around her surrounding in frantic search for the blonde haired boy, and sighed when she saw him next to the grumpy old man. Then she frowned as she saw worry in his eyes. She looked at Sasuke to see him starring hard somewhere, his eyes pitch black. She followed the directions their eyes were looking at and her eyes widened.

Kakashi and Zabuza where facing each other, hands ready to do a jutsu while trying to outsmart their opponents but that wasn't what caught Rin's attention.

Both eyes were open. One glaring red. Like blood. Like Sasukes. Like Rins.

She knew he had a sharringgan. She could feel it in him but it still came as a shock when she actually saw it.

Suddenly Kakashi appeared behind Zabuza, performing hands signs, and then...

'Water explosion no jutsu.' said Kakashi with a calm voice as Zabuza's eyes widdened.

Shit! Rin gritted her teeth, she knew that jutsu.

'What! Impossible!!' Shouted Zabuza.

Rin stood up on her two legs, ignoring the roaring pain across her chest. She grabbed Sakura and jumped up a tree just as water exploded out of nowhere, flooding the land below and pushing Zabuza back until he smacked onto a tree.

'Gu!' he grunted.

Rin landed on a thick branch, dropping sakura behind her. She fell to her knees as more blood dripped from her wound and onto the branch. Her head was spinning and throbbing at the same time. She gritted her teeth and clenched her fist. She couldn't focus, she felt faint and weak.

She felt warm hands grab her arms. God! She was so cold.

'You've lost too much blood and you're so cold. Dammit, you're lips blue!!' said Sakura, pushing Rin down to lean against the tree. 'Hold on Rin.' She got bandages out of her pouch.

She pulled the crop top Rin was wearing so only the fishnet was against her skin.

'Good thing, we're up this high. The leaves will give us some privacy.' Said Sakura as she started to bandage Rin's wound. After the white cloth was tightly secured, Sakura put the cropped top back on Rin.
