"Ready?" the photography man asked.

"Ready." Rin replied.

 Snap!

The flash temporarily blinded her eyes as her vision became consumed by white light. She blinked a few times trying to readjust her eyes and when it did, the man was starring at her with a frown.

"What?" she asked.

"Nothing... it's just that you're a very pretty lady, why don't you smile just a little." he said, scratching his head.

"Why should I smile?" she asked. "Am I happy? Is something funny? Did you just tell me a joke?"

"Well... not really."

"Then why should I smile?" she asked again.

"Ok, ok. Calm down. Here's the photo. Don't regret it!" said the man as he hand her the photo.

"Just do your job." Rin said coldly.

She walked away from the guy but she could feel his burning rage for her disrespect towards him.

The day, just like yesterday and the day before that, was hot. The sun was high and the sky was clear blue and the wind was mild and gentle. She walked towards the hokages office as she enjoyed the clear sky.

When she got there, she could already hear the disruption being made and she guessed who the source was. She decides to sit down on the floor next to the door as she waits for the disruption to subside. She only has to wait a few seconds before Naruto comes out of the office with a frown on his face and after just a couple of minutes another young boy with a scarf around his neck comes out, followed by another ninja with round sun glasses.

It's only after then that Rin gets up and walks into the office.

"Ahh! Rin-san, come sit down." said the hokage.

She walks up to the hokage to hand in her form before sitting down on the chair. The hokage then takes a long look at the form, his eyes totally focused on the piece of paper in front of him.

"Hmm." he ponders on for awhile.

Rin looks at the butter fly that has just landed on the window sill. This one is not as pretty as the other one but it has a nice shade of black and orange.

"Retake it!" he declares, snapping Rin out of her day dream.

"Huh! Why?" asked Rin. Not understanding why he would want her to retake it.

"You're not smiling and your eyes are completely dead!" answers the hokage, his eyes all serious.

Rin stares at him and bluntly says:

"No. I don't want to."

"This is an order Rin. Are you disobeying the hokage?"

"This is a shinobi registration book. It's to list all the shinobi of this village and their abilities. This is a very important document, so why do I need to smile?" asks Rin, annoyed.

"Because I said so." 

"Go die." 

The hokage sighs.

"You're so not cute at all."

"Old man, if that is all you have to say then I'll be excusing myself."
