Zabuza couldn't rip his eyes away from the young girl who stood in front of him. He stared at her sweet smile that reminded him of Haku, that child-like innocent smile. But whereas the smile would reach Haku's eyes, lighting up his face, Rin's eyes were nothing but void.

And the ruby-lipped smile that was etched on her beautiful face only highlighted how devastatingly cold she was.

Zabuza gently wiped his bloody nose and stood up, wincing slightly from the pain, and without missing a beat, he threw shurikens at Rin, pushing her back. Zabuza jumped a few paces back as well. He needed distance, he still remembered how Rin fought and knew from experience she was an excellent close-ranged combat fighter, never met anyone who was as quick and efficient as her.

'I'm not how I used to be Reaper. I'll have you know that I've grown stronger over these last 10 year-'

Rin ran. Fast. She clocked onto Zabuza's attempt of keeping distance and logically went against it. Whatever he was planning, he couldn't do it with Rin close by to attack.

In a blink of an eye, she appeared in front of Zabuza, crouched with a Kunai in her hand as she brought it up to stab him in the stomach. Zabuza's eyes widened in surprise but quickly pulled himself together and blocked Rin's attack with a swipe of his left wrist. He then aimed a sidekick towards Rin's face but Rin blocked it by bringing her right arm next to her ear. She grabbed onto Zabuza's leg, holding it tightly as she spun the Kunai around her hand and went again for Zabuza's throat.

Zabuza quickly jerked his head to the right, leaving just a small cut on the side of his throat. Rin, still holding onto Zabuza's raised leg, swiftly maneuvered under him with her small and slim figure and flipped Zabuza over, using his balance and weight against him. She turned on her hills and delivered a roundhouse kick straight after.

Zabuza crossed his arms over his chest, blocking the kick and making sure he didn't get winded by it. His perception of Rin were upside down, and he flew backwards, skidding painfully on the ground before straightening himself up.

But Rin gave him no chance to recover, she was there, in front of him again, her eyes glinting with focus. He was mesmerized for a few seconds, the kind of fascination you experienced when you saw a leopard hunt. The speed, the focus, and deadly accuracy.

So fast! Thought Zabuza.

Rin punched him hard in the stomach, forcing air out of his lungs, and she continued to deliver blows after blows. Zabuza blocked some of her attacks but the punch to the gut had left him shaken. He was being overpowered and so easily. He gritted his teeth.

Rin stepped on his feet with her right foot and with her left she kicked it straight up, hitting Zabuza's chin and forming a perfect vertical line with her two legs. Zabuza's brain shook from the impact, Rin's firm foot on him the only thing keeping him to the ground, but then Rin slammed her foot down on Zabuza's broken nose, damaging it more. More blood spewed out.

Pain and anger blitz through Zabuza. Enough!

He pulled out his huge sword and slammed it down on Rin but she jumped before it got her. Dust flew up in the air from the attack.

Zabuza panted hard. His face was in so much pain that his vision went blurry for a bit. He squinted hard as the dust settled down and his eyes refocused on Rin as she landed on her feet a few meters down. She stood up casually, flicked her hair back, and just stared back at Zabuza.
