"Now..." Naruto wiped the blood away. "Lets get this party started."
Zabuza saw how Rin gave a little smile, it unsettled him, he couldn't read her thoughts or her emotions. "A lot of arrogance..." He looked at Naruto. "But do you really stand a chance."
This is bad! Panicked Kakashi.
"What are you doing?! Run away!! This fight was over from the moment I was caught!!" Shouted Kakashi. "Our duty was to protect Tazuna-san! Did you forget that?!"
Naruto looked back at Tazuna with a troubled face. "Old man..."
Tazuna gave him a reassuring smile. "Well... I planted this seed myself. I'm not now going to say that I desire to live so much that I'm going to stop you guys. I'm sorry guys, fight as much as you want."
"Pfft." Sasuke smirked. "You hear that?"
"Are you ready then?" asked Naruto.
Sakura looked worried.
Rin kept smiling.
"Hah..." Zabuza laughter grew. "Haahahahaha...,you guys will never grow up."
"What?" asked Naruto, confused.
"Going to keep playing ninja, eh?" Zabuza looked down at his hands. "When I was your age, these hands were already dyed red with blood."
Rin looked down at hers.
"Devil Zabuza..." Kakashi stared.
"Ah... so you've heard about it a little." said Zabuza.
Devil Zabuza? Rin tilted her head. Ah... so that's who.
"Long ago, in the hidden mist village, also called the Blood Mist Village, there was one obstacle in becoming a ninga." told kakashi.
"O, so you even know about the exam." commented Zabuza.
"That exam?" asked Naruto, while Zabuza chuckled. "What's this exam about?"
"Fight to death between the students." Zabuza grined.
Everyone held a shocked face but Rin and Kakashi.
"Friends who have trained and eaten at the same table are pitted against each other and go at ti..." said Kakashi. "Until one of them loses their life."
"...That's terrible..." said Sakura, horrified.
"These are friends who helped each other and shared dreams." continued Kakashi. "10 years ago, the Hidden Mist graduation exam was forced to change. This change came after the previous year, when a devil appeared."
"Change?" asked Sakura. "What change?"
"Without pause or hesitation, a young boy who was not even a ninja had killed over hundreds of the student"
Zabuza looked at Rin, while Rin looked back. They stared at each other through out all the conversation. Her cold deep blue eyes never moving, never wavering, always so cold and penetrating. Just like her, the person who he met 10 years ago, after killing all those students. The person who was stronger than him, much stronger.
