Being a superhero is harder than I thought. Yes, I have the powers for it, but I lack the skills. I haven't used my powers in years. Okay, that's a lie, I did use my flexibility to reach things under the couch, or scratch that place on your back that no one is able to reach.

But, I have been trying to float for hours now. I haven't really kept track of time, but it's been a long time. Still, my feet stay on the ground with no intention to move even a little.

I open my eyes, and a frown forms on my face. A sigh leaves my mouth. I have a small headache,  that will only be fixed by a warm nice cup of tea.

I lean my head back on the couch, my tea almost gone already.  It really bothered me that I couldn't even float for a second, that my feet refused to leave the floor. What if I forgot how to use my powers? That would be the worst.

As I open my eyes again, I'm met with a white wall in front of me. A small scream escapes me and before I know it I'm falling down, landing softly on my couch. That's when I realise my face was almost pressed against my ceiling.

A huge smile forms on my face, and I stand up a little too fast. I put my empty tea cup down and look at the celing far above me. It worked, I floated!

But when I try it again, nothing happens, and the smile is off my face again.

Cry's P.O.V.

Felix is staring at all the movies we own, trying to pick one to watch. We both already agreed that we wouldn't watch a horror movie before the fire department was in front of our door again.

"We could watch Disney or something." I say, but the frown on Felix's face only gets deeper. All of the sudden he gasps, before jumping up.

"I know what we should watch!" He shouts, before running into the hallway and onto the stairs. I shake my head at the sudden enthousiasme of the Swede, and before I know it he's running back down with a box in his hand.

"I forgot that I had the whole Spiderman trilogy upstairs." He tells me. "I bought it like three days ago, and now is the best time to watch it." He winks real quick, before putting in the disk and sitting down next to me.

The movie starts and after twenty minutes Felix rushes to the kitchen to make popcorn for us. I watch as Peter Parker struggles to make the decision, help the world, or stay an ordinairy person.

It gives me a weird feeling, watching him. My world is in danger, and I have  the power to help. Besides, isn't superhero the dream job of every small kid. I sigh, and right at  that moment Felix enters the room with two bowls of popcorn.

"Woah, you didn't even pause the movie." He says in mocked hurt, before he looks at me and the smile leaves his face. "Hey, what's wrong, Ryan?"

I shake my head a bit, and get a small smile at his concern. "It's nothing, just thought of something that happened a few years ago. It's no biggy."

He nods in understanding, even though I'm sure he knows I'm lying. He just sits down next to me, hands me the bowl with the most popcorn and rewinds the movie to where we were when he left.

Making me watch Peter Parker's struggle all over again.

It's weird how tiring concentrating can be. Even though whenever I really concentrated it didn't even work. Only when I started wondering why it didn't work, my body decided to float.

I just had to practice a lot to get everything in control again, and I can only hope that I'll be able to control everything soon again. For now, I decided to let the invisibility go for a while, and completely focus on the floating. It seemed like the correct choice right now.

But, even future superheroes get tired, so it was time for some tv time. Of course, after only watching for fifteen minutes I notice that everything on tv was about the criminals in town.

For some reason this brought me in the mood to continue on my superhero work. At this moment I was just happy that I didn't have a roommate so I could work on this stuff in ease, instead of being nervous the entire time because of them entering the room.

Although, the floating had tired me out completely, so I decided to do something every hero needs to do... Design a costume. This might sound easy, but after a while I realised it's really not.

You have to think of an awesome design, but it has to be light, and a dark colour so you won't be spotted easily at night. It has to be a bullet proof or something, and I have to have something to cover my face with. The face coverage needs to match the suit, and I need something like sneakers, just a bit more awesome looking, because hey, superhero and stuff.

It shouldn't be a suit that looks too much like the fictional heroes that already exist, and I need a place to hold weapons or something. I need to think of a way to put my hair so that the suit is completely fine, but I do want to show my hair. I don't want my entire face covered, and I do want my mouth to show, which means that my eyes should be covered but I still need to see shit.

This is only a small list of my struggles, and after wasting a shitload of paper (sorry trees, but it's for a good cause!)  I have it.

It's a kind of tight, black suit that covers my entire body, With the same black gloves. My elbows, knees, knuckles and shoulders have brown pads that are harder then the rest of the suit, so I can punch and kick without hurting myself. The mask was rather easy, it covers my eyes and nose, but leaves my mouth in the open as I wanted. It stops a bit before my hairline, and my hair goes in a ponytail.

I have the idea written down, and I have even taken the time to draw the thing, now I just need to find someone who can make this for me, without asking questions!

***

"Do you think you could make this." I ask a guy behind a counter of a small fabric store. He looks at the drawing of the suit, before looking at me again.

"Why'd you need a suit like this?" He asks, raising an eyebrow at me. "Looks like a superhero suit, trying to be the new Spiderman or something?"

I blush at this statement. How stupid am I? Going to a store asking them to make me a superhero suit. Godammit.

He raises both eyebrows at my sudden blush, before he starts laughing. "Girl, believe me," He says in between breaths. "The city might need a hero, but you're not gonna be that hero."

It's time for me to raise my eyebrows, as I reach over the counter and grab the guy's collar. "I beat up a guy in an alley, who was twice your size. Now, tell me, did you make that statement because I am a woman?"

He gulps once, the smile completely whiped off his face. "Y-you know what, I'll make you a deal." He says, and I let go off his collar. "I'll make this thing for you for free, because these materials cost an awful lot."

I want to thank him, but his face shows that he is not done talking yet.

"If, I can be your partner in crime. You need a Robin, but I'll be backstage. Working on different fabrics and making stuff you need and shit." He gives me a smile, and I sigh.

I can't afford the suit, plus he'd recognise me anyway if I really become a superhero... I could play it dumb! No, he already knows everything... I have no choice.

"Fine." I sigh, and I give him a little smile. He jumps up in the air in excitement, before reaching out his hand to shake mine.

"Chad Hurling, your new Robin." He greets with a huge smile.

"(Y/n) (Surname), your Batman."
