(Y/n)'s P.O.V

In only two weeks, things have changed a lot. I went out as Hidden Death multiple times, and always ran into some sort of evil act. Hidden Death had gotten a good name in the papers and on tv, something that I was really glad about.

Chad and I had been going to a barn outside of the city to practice throwing with the knives. The barn had been abandoned for a while and because of a ghost story no one dared to come in here. This made it the perfect place for us to practice in secret.

Chad had been trying to teach me for a while, but he himself wasn't very good with knives either, so the only thing that was left to do was try our absolute best.

"Oh yeah!" Chad shouts as I hit a target. "Hidden Death scores again!" I roll my eyes at his excitement, even thought it is really sweet of him to always come with me.

"Chad, really, you don't have to come with me every single time we go here. You could be at home or enjoying yourself in a bar somewhere."

"Wow," Chad replies. "We've known each other for a while now and you assume I drink a lot?"

"Chad, I didn't say th-"

"Because I do, and yes, I could be in a bar somewhere but then I would miss all the superhero action." He says. "Besides, who is going to make an awesome montage when I'm not around?"

"Have you been filming my practice?" I ask him, placing the knives I was holding on a small table and sitting down on a chair near Chad.

"Of course I have." He replies. "How else could we check your progress or see what stuff you still do wrong."

He had a point. "As long as the footage doesn't reach the public, I'm fine with it." I say, grabbing a bag with my stuff and walking back to Chad's car. He follows me and gets in.

"Of course it won't, I'm not a backstabber." He starts the engine and we drive home. Everything is going fine until we're stopped by a couple of police men. Chad opens his window to ask what's going on and the answer kind of scares me.

"You better drive the other way, multiple people have started to fight in the middle of the street. We're trying to fix it as soon as possible."

Chad nods and closes the window before looking at me. I give him a quick nod and he drives around the corner where I quickly get into my suit. "I'll see you at home." I say. He gives me a last nod before driving off.

I run back into the street, where the same cop greets me. "Hidden Death, we were hoping you'd be coming soon!" He exclaims before running besides me to the large group of fighting people.

"Which one started it?" I ask, and he thinks for a moment before pointing at a large man. Immediately, I notice the knife hanging on his belt and  can only be glad he hasn't used it yet.

I dash into the crowd and try to kick the guy in the neck, when he gets covered in ice. "What the..." I mutter and the whole crowd stops fighting just to look at what just happened.

Someone clears his throat and we all look up at a building where a figure is standing. He has a dark blue suit, covering his entire body and he has a cape. The most peculiar thing is the mask, it looks to be ceramic and a pokerface is drawn onto it.

"Hello people, police men," He looks my way, and I can just see the smirk below his mask. "Hidden Death. If any of you want to end up like big guy over there, I say you keep fighting."

It is silent for a moment before the people all begin to laugh. "Who says we should listen to you, you idiot?" Someone shouts, and the laughing gets even louder. I don't know why but I can't help to release some giggles myself.

Seconds ago this crowd was about to kill each other, and now they are all laughing together at a wannabe superhero. I couldn't help but find it hilarious.

"Do you really want to be rude, friend?" The guy asks before a huge flame erupts from his hand. Immediately, everything gets silent again and the fighting mass scrambles away, leaving me and the frozen man alone with the guy on the roof.

He jumps down, landing right in front of me and he holds out his hand. "Hey, I'm Cry." He greets.

"Hidden Death." I respond as I grab his hand and shake it. A silence falls over us and the only thing making a sound is the man behind us, struggling to move his fingers in the frozen mass.

"It's quite hot outside, so you might want to think of a solution before your ice completely melts." I say, before walking towards the few cops that are standing a little further away and leading them to Cry and the starter of the fight.

Cry melts the ice away with a few flames and the cops arrest the fighter, thanking us for our help and leaving with blarring sirens.

"I must say, it was great working together with you, Hidden." Cry tells me and I squint my eyes at the man before taking a step forward, floating up to be eye to eye and grabbing his collar.

"Listen here, punk." I start. "You might have solved this, but you'll witness some pretty messed up shit if you continue with this whole superhero stuff. We did not work together today, you took over something I was about to start. This town doesn't need you, so keep living the easy life."

I let him go and get back on the ground. I turn around and walk away when his voice catches up with me. "I was just trying to help, seeing as you don't have attacking powers."

I turn back to him and fling a knife at him, making it stick into the ground right in front of his feet. "Is that enough attacking for you?" I ask, walking towards him to retrieve my knife.

"Really, I appreciate that you want to help, but I'm fine on my own. I chose this life, and only after saving my first person I regretted it. You're going to get bruised and broken and I'm already in this deep. You can still leave this shit."

"But I won't." He replies. "I want to help the people, and you're only one person. Together we could stop even more crime at a faster rate."

"That's true." I reply. "But I have trained weeks and weeks for this, and I take it that you haven't done a lot to prepair."

"You're right, I didn't, but I have powers no other person has, which makes me already chosen to do this. Let me train with you, and then I could help."

I sigh, this guy is confident, I'll give him that. "Fine, the abandoned barn north of the city, tomorrow at seven PM."

I walk away again, and grab my phone to call Chad. No way I was walking home after everything that just happened...
