Cry's P.O.V.

I couldn't sleep. My mind wasn't letting me rest as I was overthinking everything that had happened and was going to happen. I was certain that Felix would be back and we would be able to talk everything out, but I now wasn't sure if I should tell (Y/n) everything before the same thing happened with her.

I was struggling way too much with this. On one hand, not telling her could result in a fight between us when she figures out but telling her wasn't a smart idea either. Superhero movies show that anyone who knows a secret this big could be in mortal danger later on.

Not that Hidden Death and I really seemed to have a mortal enemy, but still. It would be risky just spreading this secret around like it isn't a big deal.

Every single time that I rolled over on the couch where (Y/n) and I had fallen asleep on, I could see her peaceful form just softly snoring away. I must admit that I was pretty jealous that she could sleep, seemingly without any worries, unlike me. Ever since Felix had gotten mad a very particular sentence had been running through my head, a sentence that Hidden had told me before I started this entire superhero thing;

"Really, I appreciate that you want to help, but I'm fine on my own. I chose this life, and only after saving my first person I regretted it. You're going to get bruised and broken and I'm already in this deep. You can still leave this shit."

Now I finally realized what she meant by that. Anyone could have the thought of helping out, or even feeling so special that they are stupid enough to believe they can actually make a difference in the world. Hidden was trying to make me realize my stupidity but I completely ignored her warning, so now I am stuck in this dilemma.

I realize that I have been staring at (Y/n) for a little too long while I pondered my problems and she has shifted her position and her arm is lazily laying on my leg. I can not help but smile. I had realised the next time we slept in the same place that there was something special about this girl, something that made her so much more special to me than all other people, maybe with Felix as an exception. Another one of my problems was about what exactly I felt for her, and if these confusing feelings were returned by her.

Her eyes open slightly and a jawn escapes her quickly. I chuckle as she pushes her hand in front of her mouth and one below her chin, to hide a dubble one forming due to the opening of her mouth. When she's done a small blush covers her cheeks and the sleepiness is obvious in her eyes.

"Can't sleep?" She asks and I just shake my head. Before I can even really register it she has stood up and shuffles towards the kitchen. In a matter of seconds I hear the water boiler doing it's work and (Y/n)'s head shows itself. "What kind of tea do you want?"

"That is very kind of you." I say firstly. "The usual."

"Forest fruits?"

"You got it!" Her head once again dissapears into the kitchen but not long after I hear something weird near the front door. (Y/n) has heard it too as she joins me in the hallway quickly. "Any idea what that might be?"

"I was just going to ask you the same thing." She answers. I expected her to be scared by the possibilities in this crime ridden town, but there is some sort of determination in her eyes. She takes a step towards the door but I place a hand on her shoulder and push her behind me. She obviously wants to object, so I try to form words before she can. "My house, my problem." She rolls her eyes as I step closer towards the door.

Before we're both able to do anything, the door shoots open and two figures are staring us down. It looks like a male and a female. They're both dressed in your typical robber outfit; black shirt, black pants, black hats with holes on their heads. What surprises me is the female's bright yellow shoes. Pfft amateur.

The male figure suddenly points a gun at my face and I want to burn his fingers to let it go, but I just in time discover that (Y/n) is still standing in the hallway and she would see everything. The females locks eyes with her and she dashes into the living room. The female follows her and the door closes behind them. The guy in front of me cocks his gun and that's when I actually burn his gun. The hot metal burns his fingers immediately and with a loud cry he let's the weapon go.

When I go to pick it up, I notice small patched of skin burned against it. Whilst surpressing a gagging noise I pick it up, cool it down immediately and shot the guy the barrel of his own gun. "Not so tough now, are we?" I ask with a smirk when the door behind me opens once more and (Y/n) bumps into me, knocking us both to the ground. I release the gun and it flies across the floor.

The man picks it up again and points it our way. I take a look at the female and see that her mask is off, a cut on her cheek and holding a large knife. "Very tough." The man tells me as he grabs my collar and lifts me up. "Safe. Now. You're going to give us quite some money, right pal?"

I nod quietly, decided to cooperate and hopefully get into a seperate room from (Y/n) again. I turn my head to look at her and she's bravely staring the female robber down. If looks could kill we wouldn't even have a problem anymore. I take a step towards my bedroom to get to the safe, but when I turn from the girl that spend her night here, the female robber screams in fear. "Oh my God, where the fuck did she go?" The male turns and I can just see his eyes widen. I turn my head too and see that (Y/n) has indeed vanished.

But... how? The only other person that I knew could do that was Hidden Death. The man turns my face towards him again, and angry but fearful look on his face. "You're leading us to that safe now and," The raises his volume. "If your girlfriend lays a finger on one of us I will shoot you without a doubt, understood?"

"Understood, asshole." (Y/n)'s voice surprises me as it sounds from right behind me. The man releases my collar a second after and I get pushed. I land on the ground on my butt, just in time to see (Y/n) kick the man in the face. She looked like an agressive ballerina with her outstrechted leg and the look of murder on her face. He falls to the ground but rolls further before dissapearing into the kitchen. I scramble up before slapping the knife out of the female's hand and pushing her to the ground. I sit down on her back to keep her down and (Y/n) hands me a scarve; the one that she was wearing when she got here.

I tie up the female and (Y/n) already rushes into the kitchen without me. I quickly join her when I hear sounds coming from the room with all the sharp utensils. I open the door and hit someone who's standing behind it. A low chuckle grabs my attention as I see the man standing in front of me, meaning that I hit... "(Y/n)!" I close the door and see her standing there, her hand on her head to ease the pain slightly.

She gives me a look and when I see her eyes I realise that I know that look. I know those eyes and their position, but I do not know to whom they belong. The man grabs a knife while I'm distracted by (Y/n)'s eyes and her arm goes passed my face and grabs the man's wrist. She twists it and he releases a cry. That's when he notices the steam coming from the water boiler. The grab the thing, opens it and throws the contents towards the girl.

Automatically, without any thought at all, I raise my arms and stop the boiling drops mid-air. (Y/n)'s eyes widen at the sight. She looks from the water, to me and back to the floating liquid in front of her. I throw it back towards the man, who screams as it hits his face then trips and hits his head against the counter. Unconcious.

(Y/n)'s facial expression hasn't changed as she looks at me, stands right in front of me, looks me deeply in the eyes and whispers: "Cry?"

At that exact moment, all the pieces of the puzzle click inside my head. The vanishing, the athletic kick, that annoyed look. I look at her eyes once more, gulp once and take a deep breath.

"Hidden Death?"
