What If?

<5> Icecream Drama Queen.

They soon made their way over to the play ground and sat down because Piper's back was hurting a lot. So they all sat down on a park bench the girls beside each other and Percy on the edge Annabeth in the middle.

The women kept talking as Percy watched the kids play either with the dog or without it. But he noticed Luke standing on the side watching the girls often. But mostly Phoebe.

Percy smirked, he knew exactly what Luke was thinking. Percy chuckled and shook his head a smile spreading across his face. The girls heard him and looked at him questioningly before asking what he was laughing about.

"First of all, chuckling." Percy replied holding his pointer finger up and Annabeth rolled her eyes. Percy noticed she did that a lot with him. "And I was just watching the kids."

Annabeth nodded and Piper gasped, "That reminds me," Annabeth turned back to Piper and they started another conversation as Percy went back to watching the kids.

Zoe was running around with the puppy that was adorable in Percy's opinion. Luke and Phoebe just stood together smiling as they watched Zoe act childishly making Luke and Phoebe look like they might be the parents.... Well, if people were midgets.

Phoebe crossed her arms her brown eyes trained on the dog that was starting to bark as Zoe played with him. He looked agitated. Suddenly the dog turned its head as him and Zoe ran and bit her leg.

Zoe yelped and fell face first into the playground's pebbles still holding the dog's leash making sure it didn't run away.

Phoebe and Luke were already in action running towards Zoe who was sitting up and looking at her leg her eyes becoming glossy.

Percy felt the instinct to go help but he wanted to see what the kids would do. So he sat and watched since the mothers were too busy talking that they didn't notice.

Phoebe got there first and tried to comfort Zoe who's bottom lip was trembling. Luke got over and held his sister in his arms as she clung to him as she started crying.

Luke comforted her as Phoebe grabbed the leash and took the dog away from Zoe looking sad glancing back at the siblings with longing.

Percy decided it was time to take action and stood up before walking over to Luke and Zoe before kneeling down and looking at her leg.

"It's not that bad." Percy said and Zoe sniffled "No, it's not I'm gonna die." She said dramatically. "Here." Percy took Zoe in his arms from Luke and picked her up from the ground princess style before carrying the girl who seemed to weigh nothing over to the bench as Piper and Annabeth watched him.

"She hurt her leg." Percy explained and Annabeth nodded taking Zoe into her arms before Percy knelt down in front of Annabeth and looked at the scratch on Annabeth's daughter. The scratch wasn't even bleeding yet Zoe was acting as if she had just been stabbed.

"Hmm." Percy put a hand on his chin. "Looks like it's infected, we'll need to chop it off to make sure the infection doesn't spread." The moms looked at him judgingly but Percy knew what he was doing.

At least, he hoped he did.

Zoe looked at him and instantly stopped crying. "No! Don't chop off my leg! It's fine!" she said pulling it away making Percy smile.

"Now what did I say?" Percy ruffled her head of brown hair and she giggled. "Thanks daddy." Zoe jumped down and kissed his cheek before running back off to Luke.

Percy was shocked, he still wasn't used to being called daddy, and she kissed his cheek.

"Something wrong? You look like your frozen in place." Piper said and Percy stood up before sitting by Annabeth again. "I'm fine." He said looking at the ground.

Piper raised and eyebrow but shrugged off Percy's rudeness.

They staid in the park a little longer before they all went home exchanging hugs before they left.

"Icecream?" Zoe asked from the backseat and Percy smiled at the wheel before looking at Annabeth and wigging his eyebrows. Annabeth rolled her eyes a light blush covering her cheeks. "Fine."

"WOOO!"Percy and the kids cheered before put his hand back for a high five which both kids gladly gave him as Annabeth who sat in the passengers seat smiled shaking her head at her crazy family.

Percy then because he was driving had to figure out where the icecream shop was.

He glanced at Annabeth wondering if he should ask for directions but he decided against it. She already said he was out of it today, maybe he could do something right.

Percy nodded and made a left turn turning towards where he thought most likely an icecream shop would be. 

They passed a building and Zoe pointed out the window. "Look, there's where dad works!" she said and Luke glanced over before shrugging.

Percy looked over also and saw it was a mechanics shop. Was he a Mechanic?

"Honey, where are we going?" Annabeth asked after a good half hour. "Uuuh, to the icecream shop." Percy chuckled nervously.

"Well, either you have amnesia or you are horrible with directions because this is nowhere near the icecream shop." Annabeth said in a not impressed voice.

Percy wanted to facepalm himself about a hundred thousand times until his face was red. Idiot, you should've just asked for directions and not made a fool of yourself. Percy thought before letting out a big breath.

"So uh, where is the icecream shop?"

"Pull over."

"Why-"

"Just do it."

Percy pulled over and Annabeth got out and walked to the drivers side before telling him to get out and let her drive. Percy huffed and got out before walking to the other side of the car and getting in as Annabeth buckled up and waited for Percy to buckle up.

Percy sighed and did so before Annabeth pulled out into the road again and drove in the opposite direction.

Percy wanted to die, he just embarrassed himself in the worst way in front of a pretty girl and her kids.

Percy crossed his arms and looked out the window as Zoe started singing Under The Sea from the Little Mermaid.

"Aren't you gonna join in?" Annabeth asked Percy and Percy raised and eyebrow looking at her, "No?" He said more like a question than an answer.

"Oh come on, we know you love this song." Annabeth said "Yeah!" Luke butted in and Percy made this face -_-

Oh wonderful. Percy thought.

"Oh come on dad!" Luke said and Percy kept his arms crossed. "No." Percy said and Luke put out his bottom lip pouting on purpose.

"Come on dad! We love your voice!" Luke said and Zoe stopped singing to back her brother up. "Yeah!"

Finally after five minutes of asking and begging Percy gave in and started singing the only Disney song he knew all the lyrics too.

Well, besides Part Of Your World, which is also from the Little Mermaid.

Well, Percy sure felt like an idiot.

But he remembered something someone told him when he was young.

You can never be too old for Disney.
