It had been two days since Percy woke up and he was miserable. Everything to him was so meaningless and stupid without her. Everything meant nothing without her, she made everything have life.

But in everything he looked upon, smelled, heard, or touched he was reminded of her and everything about her. It made no sense. Everything was nothing without her, but everything that meant nothing reminded Percy of something... Something of or about her.

It made Percy think... Was she this devastated when he left her in that train station, or at that bus stop- Percy couldn't remember where he left her! He wanted to forget it, he wanted to stat over just so he wouldn't leave her. He wanted to go back in time, turn around and walk back to her and kiss her senseless before admitting he loved her.

But Percy was a foolish stupid man, he didn't know where his feelings lied at the time. He felt so stupid for that.

But now that he knew where his heart was, it was broken. Because he couldn't be with the one whom his soul loved.

Percy found himself looking over his old lyrics for songs he never finished writing knowing they were a lost cause. Was that how she felt when he left her? Did she feel like she was a lost cause and no one would enjoy her like the masterpiece she was.

Percy kept receiving many calls from Rachel all going to voicemail. But she never did anything besides call or text him. No effort given to come see him or call Grover to see if he was okay.

So here Percy was just laying on his bed looking out the window watching the rain fall and listening to it's harmonic pitter patter as it fell. It seemed to sooth him during everything that was going on.

Then he heard vibrating before feeling it since his phone was lying on his bed with him. Percy lifted his head and looked to see Rachel. Percy hadn't even bothered to change the contact photo even though he cringed every time she called.

Percy looked out the window again as he contemplated answering as he did with every call he received. But he began to feel guilty for leaving her on silent for the past couple days. She must be worrying what's going on, plus it was rude to keep continually ignoring her.

Percy sighed and picked up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Percy you answered! Finally!" She exclaimed and Percy chuckled dryly as he remembered her style of humor. So different compared his and Annabeth's secret type of humor.

"So how have you been? You've been ignoring me for a while, are you just supper busy or something??" Rachel asked and Percy sighed. He thought about lying and telling her he was but after all he had done he decided to tell the truth.

"Actually I've been taking rest days, to just calm down and stuff.. Ya know." Percy shrugged as the ran began to slow down.

"Oh, yeah. That's fine." She said but he could tell she was trying to be fine with it.

There was a short silence as neither knew what to say, the awkwardness between them began to grow by the second. It was so strange, they were once so in sync, but ever since Percy woke up he'd kinda broken away from his life that he used to be so in tune to.

"Well, I better go." Percy said an Rachel cleared her throat.

"Y-yeah, me too. Bye Percy." She said and Percy nodded though she couldn't see him.

"Bye Rachel."

Then they hung up.

Percy let out a breath he had no idea he had been holding. Why was that so terrible?

~~

Percy decided to do some research, he got on his computer and began typing in her name.

Annabeth Jacks-

Percy had to stop himself from typing his own last name out of habit for her. It just sounded so good on her. Like she belonged to him. And she was only his. Forever and always.

Percy inhaled deeply and erased his last name.

Annabeth Chase

Percy pressed enter before a website and several Facebook profiles popped up.

Percy knew he'd have no luck with Facebook so he pressed the website not reading the description first.

His computer loaded and he found that it was a site for a very famous architect. He scrolled to the bottom slowly as he picked through what he wanted to read. The article hinted at that the architect was a female. Percy scrolled to the bottom and there he saw a picture of his wife.

His breath caught in his lounges making him feel slight pain.

There she was, older as he was but there, working a business and earning money for herself instead of raising two beautiful children they had created together while Percy worked to feed his family like the man was supposed to.

Percy thought about the kids, he missed them so much. Zoe's warm love filled hugs, Luke's dry humor and adorable blush whenever he saw Phoebe or was teased about her.

Percy chuckled at the fond memory of his kids. He'd never forget them for as long as he lived.

Percy searched further following and reading any information about Annabeth he could. He soon found a general area in which she lived.

She lived in the same town they grew up together in, where they lived together when they were married. Percy gasped and smiled as he stood up quickly. He went and grabbed a jacket and threw on some proper clothing to go out in public in.

He threw on some shoes and combed his hair and bit before rushing out of his bedroom. He ran down the stairs to the kitchen where Grover sat, "Percy where are you going?" Grover asked as he stood up watching him.

"Somewhere I should've never left." Percy panted before opening he door and slamming it behind him probably startling Grover.

Percy fast walked to his car before choosing a less flashy one before jumping in and starting it up.

"Woah Woah Percy!" Grover yelled walking onto the scene. "What do ya mean!" Grover exclaimed and Percy pulled up next to him. "It mean't I'm leaving." Percy declared.

"Don't worry, I'll be back in time." Percy tipped his hat to Grover before handing him a big wadd of cash, "Make your child happy while I'm gone, spend time together." Percy smiled and started pulling out of his driveway as Grover stood there too shocked at the amount of money just handed to him to protest.

Percy put in some of his favorite music before setting up his GPS to home. He floored it on the highway the wind blowing through his raven black hair.

"I'll be home soon Annabeth."
