<16> I Like You a Caramel Latte. Hehe.

Percy was fidgeting around the house, he was very bored. Why you ask? It was Friday, he had the weekend off. And his kids hadn't been picked up yet. Though Zoe kept following him around helping him put the house in order. It also helped calm Percy's nerves. He had no idea what was going to happen over the weekend so messing around not paying attention to anything in particular was keeping his mind off the subject. It also cleaned the house. So that was a plus.

"Why's Luke going away?" Zoe suddenly asked and Percy looked down at his daughter. His daughter.. That was nice.

"What do you mean Luke is going away?" Percy asked straightening the picture of Piper and Annabeth back to back pregnant. It was a cute photo, their bellies were sticking out of the bottoms' of their shirts. Big smiles on both their faces.

Percy lightly chuckled and Zoe sighed, "He doesn't play toys with me anymore. And he always tells me to leave his room." Zoe said and Percy stopped. This situation sounded familiar.

Percy sighed and knelt down in front of Zoe before looking into her beautiful pure blue eyes. Not yet tarnished by the evil that was in the world. "Zoe," Percy drew in a breath before setting a hand on her shoulder gently. "I think Luke is just growing up. Trying to find himself. Ok?" Percy tried to explain and Zoe crossed her arms.

"He doesn't have to do it alone." Zoe stuck out her lower lip and Percy chuckled. "Zoe, he kinda does. But he still loves you, he's just growing up. You know you will to someday right?" Percy asked and Zoe gasped.

"Does that mean I'll have a little baby I'll ignore!?" Zoe exclaimed and Percy chuckled nervously a tint of red rising up his face.

"Uh, I don't think so." Percy said and Zoe stuck out her bottom lip. "Fine."

Then Percy heard the front door open and a warm hello. "Hey Hazel!" Percy heard Annabeth say before there was more talking which probably wasn't important.

"You have all your stuff packed?" Percy looked Zoe in the eyes and she nodded eagerly. "It's at the door!" She said excitedly jumping up and down making Percy smiled. "Hazel's here, so you better go." Percy said and Zoe leaped into Percy's arms making him almost fall back at the force of her surprise hugging him.

"Whoa," Percy placed a hand on her back and gently hugged her back. "I love you daddy." Zoe said and Percy's heart beat a little faster. Percy squeezed Zoe tighter in his arms burying his face into her neck which smelled of childrens' strawberry shampoo. "I love you too."

"Zoe!" Annabeth's voice, kind but stern ran through the house separating them. "Bye daddy!" Zoe ran out of the homey living room and to the front door as Percy pulled himself up to his feet and from his knees before he went into the kitchen to wave goodbye to his children.

"Bye, love you. Have fun." Annabeth leaned down and kissed Zoe's cheek before whispering something into Luke's ear and kissing his forehead. "Behave you two." Annabeth said and Zoe nodded before Luke rolled his eyes and the front door shut.

Annabeth sighed and sat down in one of the chairs around the kitchen table. She rubbed her forehead until the car with her children in it drove away Percy watching it uncertainly.

"Finally." Annabeth whispered and he looked over at her. "Finally what?" Percy question and he could see from the side a smirk on Annabeth's lips.

"Finally, we're alone."

Percy gulped as Annabeth looked at him a smile on her face. "I have some plans." She said and Percy nodded before sitting in front of her. "Like what?" Percy asked and Annabeth glanced at his lips before looking at his eyes.

"Well," Annabeth reached across the table and grabbed Percy's hand in her own. "I was thinking we could go grab coffee. Maybe take a walk in the park. Or go see a movie. Maybe go out on a dinner-date. We haven't done that in a while." Annabeth said and Percy nodded. 

"Sounds like a good idea.. One question though?" Percy asked her. "Shoot." Annabeth told him and Percy told her. "Can we rent a movie and watch it here? It'd be more comfy in bed than at a theater." Percy said thinking about the TV he saw in their room and Annabeth nodded her ears turning the color of a strawberry a slight grin on her face.

That's when Percy realized what he said.

A blush started creeping up his cheeks and he cleared his throat. "Coffee first?" he proposed standing and Annabeth nodded up at him before standing also. They both went to dress in more appropriate clothes for the cool weather. Lie wear sweaters or long sleeves.

They got ready and hopped into the car before driving to a little old beat up coffee shop owned by a family which Annabeth could not stop saying how good their coffee was as she directed Percy to the place. Percy was sure he was going to enjoy the coffee there.

They got there and both ordered their drinks, Percy got something that looked like something he used to order when he was rich and famous. Annabeth got a caramel latte which she gulped down in under a half hour.

"You sure you don't wanna sip?" Annabeth asked as Percy drove to the park where they could walk off the calories they just consumed. "Nah," Percy said, "I'm not into caramel that much." Percy said and Annabeth nodded efore taking another tiny sip.

"Right," She set her drink down in one of the cup-holders next to Percy's drink. "I forgot." She said and Percy nodded. "That's how long it's been since we've been out." Annabeth marveled before shaking her head.

Percy then felt Annabeth slide her hand into his own making his skin tingle at her touch. Gosh she had some sorta power didn't she? Making him so weak like this.

Percy let out a steady breath before parking the car and getting out before opening the door for Annabeth.

"Why thank you kind sir." She stood and pecked him on the lips giving Percy's cheeks a rosy glow.

Percy closed and locked the car doors before they started their walk through the park together.
