The first three days of work cars seemed to be breaking down a lot or needing checked up, or the driver just didn't know what they were doing so they had to ask how to work something.
Needless to say Percy had a very hard first three days.
Percy started driving home at around 5 PM. That was his let off time. But he got home around 5:28 PM so he had several minutes to himself in quiet or listening to music. Whichever seemed to make his mood rise.
Percy saw his house that he had magically appeared in and sighed pulling the driveway before parking inside the garage and sitting there for a moment the car off darkness settling over him.
Percy let out a large breath before leaning his head against the steering wheel. His arms shook, his bottom lip quivered, and his eyes became glossy.
He hated his new life, he didn't know anything. He had to work, (manual labor mind you) and he lived with people he didn't even know. He had Annabeth his old best friend as a wife. And apparently they had had kids together.
He didn't know anything about how they fell in love, he didn't know what his wedding day was like, he didn't know what living comfortably with her felt like. Percy was always on edge now because he didn't know anybody or his surroundings.
He kept working out keeping his muscles in shape but his body tensed up anyways no matter how healthy he was. In the middle of the night his leg would spasm and he would get real bad cramps so he had to drink tonic water to stop it.
Lying down in bed his back muscles felt like noodles. Like they were worn out.
Tears rolled down Percy's cheeks as he sat in the garage silently sobbing as he remembered his friends from his past life. Grover, Thalia, Luke, Rachel. He missed them all so much. Heck. He should've been getting married in the next few weeks or so.
But somehow he had been put in a alternate universe as the father of two children who he barely knew. Husband to a wife who he couldn't remember.
Percy sniffled and wiped his face with his calloused hands from working with tools and cars all day before getting up and starting to walk to the door that lead inside the house.
As he walked in he saw through the screen door the two children walking around the table setting it with plates and forks getting prepared for dinner which Annabeth was most likely cooking for her family.
Percy wiped his face dry before walking in the children looking up at him and smiling.
"Hey daddy." Zoe said setting a plate down which would've fell off the table if Luke hadn't pushed it further on and rolling his eyes at his sister's clumsiness.
"Hey Zoe."
Luke waved setting the last plate down before Percy looked to see Annabeth juggling the pans in her hands as she talked on the phone the phone pressed between her ear and shoulder keeping it up against her ear so she could listen to the person on the other side.
Percy sighed, "Tell Annabeth I'm getting cleaned up for dinner." Luke nodded at Percy's words and started getting out the utensil's.
Percy set his empty lunch bag down, turned slowly, and started to head towards his room his boots making a small thud since the floor was wooden.
Percy walked in on the white carpet of his room and took off his boots there as he sat on the comfortable bed. he pushed his boots aside before walking into the bathroom with an extra pair of clothes and undressing before taking a nice warm shower like he had been doing for the last few days.
Percy felt weak, he didn't like it but he did feel that way.
Percy leaned his head on the shower wall before breathing slowly as the water washed the soap off of his body.
