***Kendall's P.O.V***
I stood frozen in shock, fear, and confussion. A man was lying dead in my own house, and Harry just saved Melanie. Shock was also written all over Mel's face, lying still underneath Harry.
"Uh...wh-what?" she slurred out
"Oh nothing. Just saved your life. You're welcome babe" Harry smirked.
My hands curled up into fists at his words. Firstly he called Mel babe which fustrated me. She is my best friend, and I've always been the protective brother towards her. I'm meant to hate her boyfriends, let alone Harry.
"Why?" Melanie asked. I was surprised at her sudden bravery towards questioning Harry. He seems like a tough guy, not somebody to mess with, yet there was innocent sweet Mel, questioning him.
"Because I can't have you die. We haven't had any fun yet" he smirked. Anger ran through me as he winked at Mel, still straddling her on the ground.
"Piss off! Get the hell off her!" I growled
"I think you are forgetting if I was never on her, she would be dead." Harry teased
My neck veins were showing as I glared at him. Harry held my intense glare, his cold green gaze slightly intimidating me. I stood my ground. No way was he going to lay a single finger on Mel. Harry tilted his head to the side, amused at me bravery. What kind of sick man finds all of this fun? A man in dead for goodness sake!
"I think your penetrating gaze is no match for my gun, Kendall" he chuckled. Fear struck through me, as my fate was nearly threatened with the cold motionless body lying near me.
"You said you wouldn't kill us" I stated, hoping like hell he was agree. Instead, he pulled out his gun, got off Melanie, and aimed in straight at me head. I gulped as my fate was in the hands of a ruthless man.
"Actually," Harry corrected, "I said I wouldn't kill Melanie. You on the other hand, don't mean anything to me."
"But I mean everything to Melbelle. Shoot me, and you will have her hating you for the rest of your life."
Harry scoffed at that. "Melbelle? Cute nickname babe" Harry winked at Melanie, before returning to me with his fingers still on the trigger
"I can handle a girl like Mel. She's very...innocent. I can make her do whatever I please with her!" Harry chuckled and smirked at me. My heart was going crazy, and I couldn't move. I wanted so badly to run over to Melanie and hug her, wiping away the tears that were falling from her eyes. She sat shaking violently, and crying. My heart cracked at the sight of her, Harry being the monster he is, didn't seem to notice.
"Don't. Touch. Melanie." I seethed through clenched teeth.
"I don't think you are in the position to be making demands mate" Harry laughed.
"Pl-please"
Both of our attention turned to Mel, who managed to croak out some words through her tears.
"What did you say, baby?" Harry cooed. Hearing him speak like that made my blood boil. He has no right to call her 'baby' or 'melbelle' or any other nickname he has used on her. He's only trying to frighten the poor girl, and it was working. Sick monster.
"Please. D-don't kill Kendall" she pleaded. Harry glared at me, warning me to stay put, and not move an inch. Although my body craved to run towards Mel, for her safety and mine, I obeyed. Harry crouched down next to her, so they were eye level. A few tears spilled down her cheeks, and Harry wiped them away with his thumb. I admit, It surprised me seeing him in a slightly kind mood, but God only knows how long that will last. Melanie was brave enough to hold his eye contact as he brushed a stray curl of hers, behind her ears.
