****Harry's P.O.V****
Visible goose bumps spread across Melanie's skin as I lean into her and press my lips to her ear, whispering what I wanted from her.
"I want you to tell your dear Ashton that you never loved him." I whispered.
Melanie tensed up with my words, and I knew she was going to argue this. Ashton was all she had left of her old life, and she wasn't going to let him go easily. She was going to put up a damned fight for him. I already knew this was coming, but part of me always hoped she would give in and obey me, and stop fighting me. But of course, that was never going to happen. Not with Melanie.
"No. I'm not getting rid of the one person that I have left. You can go fuck yourself." she snapped. I couldn't help but laugh at her attitude.
"Or I could just fuck you." I purred into the crook of her neck, kissing upwards, leaving a trail.
"I'm not telling Ashton I never loved him! That would destroy him, and leave me with nothing." Melanie's voice sounded so strong, but the way she looked at the floor with her words proved she was still afraid to talk back to me.
"I'm pretty sure a bullet would kill him, not your words, sweetheart." I smirked.
Melanie looked up at me, and glared at me, mentally sending me daggers, but I teased her by giving her my most genuine smile.
"Why do you enjoy killing people so much?" she snarled. Her voice was sharp, but I knew she was genuinely asking me, and she wanted to know the answer.
"I don't enjoy killing people, Melanie." I laughed, amused that she thought I gained pleasure from ending somebody's life. "I gain nothing from it, but I do whatever it takes to get you to listen to me."
"So you're saying if I don't tell Ash I never loved him, you're going to kill him?" she snarled.
"I have no choice Mel." I sighed. "I can't just let him go, and let him go blabbing to the police!"
"You had a choice to never kidnap people in the first place. You had a choice not to kill Charlie, and you have a choice to let Ashton go free." she spoke calmly, knowing yelling would make things worse for her.
"Melanie..." I sighed, growing impatient. "Ashton will live as long as you tell him you never loved him. He will be so upset and angry, he'd never talk to you again, and we'd have no problem anymore! You obey, and nobody's life will be in jeopardy anymore."
"Until you threaten somebody else." she bit back.
"Who else it left, Melanie?" I asked. "I don't know any other friends of your, since you spent all your time with Kendall and shit." I admitted. "Ashton is the last card I have left, and you can save him as long as you-"
"Break his heart. As long as I break his heart." she sighed in defeat.
"Exactly." I agreed, kissing her on the forehead.
"What...how?" she stuttered, her heart already hurting as she prepared to get rid of her last friend from her life.
"Tell him you never loved him. You just used him for sex to get back at Charlie. Tell him it was all just a game, and he is nothing to you. You would be happier with him gone out of your life, and.." I trailed off, smirking slightly.
"And?" she asked, her voice quivering.
"Tell him you love me."
"What? No! He'd never believe me anyway!" she argued.
"Make him believe it." I replied. "Tell him you love me, and I take care of you. If he asks about the bruises, say we have a rough sex life, which is true," I chuckled. "Tell him that your heart belongs to me."
