***Harry's P.O.V***
Melanie drifted into a deep slumber almost in the minute I put her in the car. My veins were flowing with anger at the events that had just taken place.
My friend, or no longer friend, Alex, had betrayed me for a girl. For my girl. I had thought Alex was on my side, and he let me believe that, so he could run off with my girl. But what did he expect? Did he expect them to live happily ever after? That's not how this works. Melanie is my princess, and no other prince is going to come in and ride off with her into the sunset, no matter how charming he may be, he shall not take away what is mine.
Melanie is bloody foolish for thinking for one minute that they could have gotten away. How had she not learnt by now? I have lost count on the amount of times she had tried to run away, and every time she had failed. Every fucking time I had won, and she is utterly foolish for trying again. Running away from me, our life, running with our fucking child!
My baby. The precious baby growing inside of Melanie could have been killed in that crash. What if it was dead? What if my baby hadn't made it through that crash? Melanie was in bad condition. She had a cut on her forehead where blood was trickling down, and countless bruises and scratches on her body, what if my baby was like that too? Or worse...
This is not my fault. Had Melanie obeyed and learnt her lesson, there would have been no car crash which could have killed my baby. No, this is not my fault. Rather, it is Melanie's and Alex's fault for running, for being foolish.
"Foolish, foolish, foolish!" I chanted, banging my hands against the steering wheel as I drove back home.
Melanie shifted in her sleep, but her eyes remained closed, obviously she had been badly affected by the crash. I hadn't intended for it to hit so hard. I was expecting the car to swerve and stop. My heart had leaped into my chest when I saw the car toppling over, spinning round and around. Still, it had to be done. I had to get my girl back, and I did.
My phone buzzed in my pocket, and I shifted, fishing it out and answering the call from Louis.
"Harry, did you get her?" Lou asked.
"Yeah, she's unconscious, but I've got her." I spoke in a flat tone, still furious about their little run away attempt.
"Unconscious? Fuck man, what did you do?" Louis chuckled, but still sounding slightly concerned.
"Nothing. I simply gave their car a little...knocking, it spun out of control, and got her back." I summed up.
"You crashed the car?! Wow man, that's intense! Is Melanie okay?" he asked.
"I think so, she seemed a little foggy, but she'll be fine. Since when did you care about Mel anyway?" I scoffed.
"The day you came over, babbling on about your dream girl!" Louis laughed. "Besides, if she is preggo with your child, shouldn't you be a bit more careful?"
"I wasn't thinking straight, Lou." I grumbled into the phone, earning an amused laugh from the other end of the line.
"No shitting you weren't thinking straight!" he teased. "Anyways, I can see your car from the house now, seeya in a few man. And try not to kill her yeah?"
