Chapter 1- Just The Beginning

It is the first Day back to school. Janet was currently waiting for Toni to come out the house so she could give her a ride to school. But of course Toni was making the both of them late. Just as Janet was about to Pull off. Toni Finally came out,but she wasn't alone. There was a boy behind her. He looked about their age,he was brownskin, and had these thick eyebrows. Toni came up to the driver's side of the car,leaning on the door. "Jay,do you mind if my cousin rides with us today. He just moved in with me and my mom wants me to watch after him." Janet didn't really understand what that had to do with her. But being the nice person she was,she couldn't just leave him it would be rude. "Yea,come on I'm not tryna be late plus Christian is waiting for me" Toni could tell Janet was a little irritated. "Thanks Amaru get in the back" Toni instructed him. "The fuck i tell you about calling me that!" He barked at her. Toni was not about to argue with him,at least not right now. She hopped in then passenger's seat. "Janet,this is my cousin Amaru but everyone calls him Tupac,Amaru this is my bestfriend Janet." Pac wasn't paying much attention to his cousin,he was on his phone. Janet gave a little wave as she proceeded to drive. After a ride with nothing but Janet and Toni catching up. They don't see each other much during the summer because Toni goes to visit her grand parents in Baltimore and Janet is usually with Christian in Atlanta. Toni doesn't like Christian,he's a bit controlling and just an asshole in her opinion. Him and Janet are what every one call velcro,which is pretty self explanatory. They are almost never apart,and to Toni it's annoying sometimes she just wants to be her friend,hut he's always around. Don't get it twisted Toni's not that bitter ass bestfriend or anything like that,she has a boyfriend too Kenneth but he knows when it's time for her to be with Janet then it's time to give them space. Speaking of the boyfriends, there is never a dull moment with those two. For some reason Christian has never liked Kenneth,which is why the girls try to keep them away from each other. It makes it hard for the to got out as a group and do other things because they can't get along. Jay and Toni think it's completely stupid that they won't get on long,simply because their girlfriends are bestfriends but they don't care about that. Finally getting to school. Janet parked in her usual spot,and the three proceeded to get out the car. "Jay,do you know what you have first period?" Toni asked while checking herself in the mirror.
"Umm,African-American literature,you?" While they are having this conversation Amaru was focused on all the girls,they looked way better than the girls in Baltimore at least to him they did."Amaru!helloo" Toni snapped him out of his thoughts. "What do you want?" He responded to her,but was looking at some girl's ass. "I said what's your first class?" HE pulled his schedule out his pocket. It was folded up,he examined it for a quick second."some African-American shit" He quickly put it back in his pocket. Meanwhile Christian had just pulled up and Notice the three standing there talking. He was more worried about who the boy was that was over there. Janet noticed him and walked up to him. "Hey babes" She hugged him. "Hey beautiful" he kissed her cheek,making her blush. "Hi Toni" Toni just flicked him off and rolled her eyes. "What did you do to her? Toni likes everyone except you" Christian laughed,if only Janet knew the half of it. "I stole her bestfriend, but who is that little boy with her" Janet rollled her eyes because he was being petty and he doesn't even know him. "Babe stop,that's Toni's cousin Amaru,he moved here from Baltimore. Be nice to him maybe you could show him around." Janet walked over to where Amaru and Toni was. "Amaru this is my boyfriend Christian,Christian this is Amaru. Do you like sports,Christian plays football." Amaru finally stopped staring at the girls walking by and paid attention to Janet talking,she seemed nice and not annoying like his cousin so he didn't want to be rude to her. Once he actually looked at her,he wasn't disappointed at what he was seeing at all. "I'm more of a baller,i shot threes not make touchdowns"
Christian didn't like his sarcastic humor or the way he was looking at his girl."well maybe you should try out for the basketball team,and it wouldbe a great way to get to know people." Janet noticed him checking her out,it didn't bother her but she wasn't in the mood to hear Christian's mouth so she knew it was her cue to leave. "Babe,I'm gonna go to class,and you should to. Toni you gonna walk with me or you gonna wait for kenny?" Toni was too busy on her phone to respond,Christian saw his football couch and ran to talk to him. "Hey i got the same class,maybe i could walk with you since i don't even know my way around this school."
Janet wasn't to sure but since she didn't see Christian in sight anymore she just went with it. "Sure,come on" They walked into the school,through the halls together. "So,Janet tell me what's it like here" They began to engage in small talk.

Outside the school Toni was not really waiting for Kenny to get there. Nine times out of Ten He was already in his class. She was waiting for the the cost to be clear so she could meet someone. Once everyone was in the building she knew it was her cue to. She went to meet up at the place that they always do,his car. She had a spare key so she got in just to be safe and make sure no one else noticed her. While waiting for him she was looking in the mirror as always,she noticed a picture of him and his girlfriend on the dashboard,and rolled her eyes at the sight. She ripped the picture up and threw it out the window. Finally he came and got in the back seat of the car with her. He didn't get to say much she just attacked him with her lips. Things escalated real fast,if you know what i mean. When they finished their quickie,Toni decided to speak.
"When is this gonna stop,I'm tired of sneaking around. I should be able to hug you and kiss you when i what to" He sighed in aggravation,she always does this but she knows that he loves is girlfriend. "How many times do i have to tell you,when I'm ready i will tell her. Until then you need to chill out seriously"
"Christian I'm tired of this bullshit,why do i have to suffer just because you're scared to hurt her feelings,don't you think its a little too late for that. You and me have been having sex since last year. You said it yourself you don't know why you're with her because she won't even have sex with you and you told me you love me!"

"Listen Toni,you need to calm the fuck down. I will when the time is fucking right. Until then you worry about you're boyfriend and I'll worry about  Janet and i swear if she finds out about any of this,i will beat your ass. That's not a threat either it's a fucking promise. So keep up the act that you don't like me,and when i feel the time is right i will drop her and you better do the same with your man."

"You've got until the middle of the year to do something or i will personally tell her that you have been making me have sex with you,and who do you think she'll believe,definitely not your sorry ass."

Even though Toni knew she would never do that,she was tired of being in the shadows and always coming second to Janet. She knew that would speed up the process of him breaking up with her,it was the only thing she could think of.

"Talk to you later,baby" She kissed his lips ever so sweetly then got out the car.

Christian just sat there confused. She went from sound like an evil bitch to this cute little angle. He didn't have plans to break up with Janet any time soon. He loves her so much,it's just that she will not have sex, and he has needs. He figured if she wasn't giving it up anytime soon the he would get it from someone else. Toni wasn't exactly who he had in mind at first but she kept coming on to him, which at first confused him because if Janet's like a sister to her why was she easily willing to throw that away for some dick. Eventually he didn't care it was nothing more than sex and he just tells he all the shit she wants to hear become he doesn't she will tell Janet in a heartbeat. The last thing he wants to do is hurt Janet,she's his baby and they've been through so much together. She's always been there for him,if he needed her she would drop everything she was doing for him. That was what he admired about her,her loyalty was everything and then some and he can't imagine hurting her because it would hurt him.
