~~Chapter 36~~
When I woke up, I looked around the room. I wasn't in my bed, I was on the couch. Shock hit me as I realized that I fell asleep next to Zach.
I felt a hand on my waist and looked down at it. Zach was laying behind me with his back against the couch, and I was laying in front of him. He had put a blanket on the both of us so I wasn't cold during the rest of the night.
I smiled at how sweet he was and continued to stare at his hand.
Eventually, I decided to get up. The clock on the wall said 7:30, and I didn't like to sleep in too late on weekends.
"Zach?" I said, trying to wake him up. No response. "Zach?" I said, a little louder, while putting my hand over the one he had on my waist. I felt him stretch a little behind me, then relax again.
"Hmm?" He replied.
"Can you let me up?" I asked.
He grunted, then slid his other arm under my side and around my stomach. His hand that was on my waist moved closer to my stomach, and then he pulled me closer to him. I tried to ignore the tingles his fingers left behind, but my heart still sped up.
"No." He said simply. I raised my eyebrows. No?
"Why not?" I asked him.
"Your hair is soft." He replied.
"Um, thank you." I told him. I waited a few minutes, then asked him if I could get up again.
"No." He said again.
"Zach, I have to use the bathroom." I told him honestly. Slowly, Zach pulled his arms away from me and put them back to his sides.
"Fine, but I'm going back to sleep." He said as I stood up. I smiled at his sleepy face, then went to my bathroom. I took a shower and did all the other necessities, then walked back out. Zach was still sleeping, looking cute.
I walked downstairs and grabbed two trays and filled them with food, then carefully walked back upstairs with them in my hands. I set the trays on the ground so I could open my door, then set them on the coffee table in front of the couch. I sat down on the edge so I could wake Zach up without yelling at him.
I slowly reached my fingers up to his face and stroked his cheek gently.
"Mmm..." I smiled at his cute face.
"Zach, wake up. I brought you some breakfast." I whispered softly, then continued to stroke his cheek. He grabbed my hand that was on his cheek and rested it there.
"Sorry about last night." He said sleepily. "I'm a cuddler." He smiled at the last part.
"It's fine." I told him. "I didn't know what it felt like until now." I told him honestly. He smiled a little and sat up slowly.
"Wow, you went all out on this breakfast thing." Zach said, looking at the table.
"Well, I wanted to thank you for staying with me last night. And for everything you've ever done for me." I told him. He smiled at me.
"It looks delicious. Thank you." I nodded. "So, what do you want to do today?" Zach asked, taking a sip of orange juice. I shrugged.
"Maybe I'll start on some homework." I told him.
"That's lame." He said, smiling. "Let's go to town today. You can enjoy yourself since you didn't last night, and I can enjoy myself now that I'm a free man." He said. I laughed at the last part.
"Alright, fine. Finish your breakfast, and then you can go get ready." I told him. He smiled, then began to eat the breakfast I got him. When he was done, I picked up the trays and set them on my desk to remind myself to take them downstairs.
"I'll meet you here in fifteen minutes, okay?" Zach said, walking out.
"Okay, see you then." I replied, closing the door.
