~~Chapter 53~~
On Saturday morning, I stayed in my room. I didn't go down to breakfast or anything. I just waited.
Finally, Zach used his key to open my door, not even bothering to knock.
"We need to talk."
Oh no. The worst line in history.
"What's going on, Zach?" I asked him.
He stood in front of me, then began to speak.
"Grosti was right. I am a spy. I was sent here because I had a mission for my final grade."
"What was that?"
"To get to know you."
"What? Why?" I asked, surprised.
"My headmaster chose people that were the complete opposite of us, and we had to find out information on them and turn in a paper." He said calmly.
I walked over to him and put my hand on his arm. He shrugged it off, rolling his eyes.
"Don't you get it, Destiny? I have no feelings for you. You were just a mission that I had to complete, nothing else! All the affection I showed you was a lie! I'm sorry, but that was the only way I could get you to open up to me. You don't actually mean anything to me!"
I stared at him in shock, my heart shattering into a million pieces.
"Zach." I said, breathlessly. "You don't mean that."
"Yes I do, Destiny. And now since my cover is blown, I have a week to pack up and move out for my next mission."
I stood, frozen, with tears running down my eyes. Suddenly, something came over me, and I pulled back my arm and punched him in the face.
"Ow!" Zach yelled, cupping his face.
I pushed him as hard as I could to the door.
"Don't you EVER come see me again! Don't you dare even say one word to me! If I have to see your face one more time, I think I might throw up!" I yelled, hitting him multiple times.
"Good! You're not even hot anyway! If I had to see your face, I might puke too!" He yelled.
I hit him one more time, then slammed the door in his face.
I walked over to the rose that I had lying on the desk. With tears falling down my eyes, I ripped it into shreds.
