~~Chapter 5~~

After thinking about it during French, I decided that it would be best to avoid talking to Zach as much as possible. I knew that if we talked, I'd want to get closer to him, just like today. And after creating a small friendship with him, I wouldn't be able to handle him leaving me to talk to someone else. Now I was walking to my locker to drop off my English book before I went to lunch. As I was putting in my combination, I heard Sheila walking in the halls and talking with someone again. They were laughing at something, and I really hoped it wasn't me. I placed my English book back into my locker as Sheila opened hers, still flirting with Zach.

"So I was thinking, you should sit at our table today," Sheila said to him. I closed my locker and started to leave, knowing that they should have some privacy, but not before I heard Zach tell her that he would sit with her. I walked faster until I knew I was far ahead of them, then entered the cafeteria. I bought my lunch and sat at my small table in the corner. This was my spot, and I would never move because it was perfect. As I sat down and ate my lunch, I ignored the fact that Zach and Sheila were still together at her table. They were sitting with a group of people, and Zach didn't seem to have any trouble getting along with them. I sighed, feeling lonely, and finished my lunch. For the rest of the day, I was left alone. No one usually talks to me anyway, and Zach sat with other people for the last  three hours. Oh well, I guess I'm just not interesting. As I walked upstairs towards my dorm room, I noticed Zach with another group of friends. Well, so much for me making a friend.
