Ever since your dad died, your life was never the same. It was miserable, not just because your family felt incomplete, but seeing your mother sulk in the corner for almost a year just made you crack into tears...
You slowly lowered your head and tried to fix those huge nerdy glasses of yours as you find your way back to your room. You were so busy with the thoughts in your head you didn't notice students started to gather right infront of you.
"He's here!"
"Kai!"
Students started shouting and screaming as if a Hollywood star just paid a visit to your beloved school. It was getting crowded. You would've taken a different aisle but your room was just a few feet away from you, and if you had to walk the other way you'd probably end up being late. So no matter how difficult it was for you, you tried to squeeze in between those squeling fangirls. Unfortunately someone bumped into you, making you fall on your knees, as your books and glasses came flying in the air.
Why does it always have to be like this? Nerds getting bumped and no one dares to help them. You thought as you started to collect your stuffs that fell on the ground.
Just then the school bell rang, signaling that classes were about to begin.
"Just great! Congrats on your first late record Hannah." You told yourself.
The other students went back to their resective rooms, leaving you behind all by yourself...
...or so you thought.
"Let me help you with that." Someone said, making you look up.
Kai... the school's heartthrob.
"Thanks." You smiled as he handed you your glasses that fell with your stuffs.
You have to admit, Kai had the looks every girl could fall for. And seeing this side of his, you could conclude he too is a nice guy. Yeah, definitely the girl on every girls bucket list, every girl but you that is... you just don't feel like being in a commitment with someone, well, even if you did, society dictates that two opposites aren't fit for each other. He's the school's most popular guy, and you, you're just you... nothing special, nothing but the school's geek. -_-

Months passed and yet nothing exciting has occured... well, not until you got home.
"Mom? You look so happy today. Is there something I need to know?" You asked. Honestly, today was the very first day you've seen your Mom look so happy since that tragic day. You couldn't help but smile and wonder what's making her act this way.
"Come here Sweetie... Mom has to tell you something."
...She told you she was dating again. And you couldn't help but feel excited and happy for her. You're glad she finally found another reason to smile, another reason to keep going... not that you weren't enough... but it feels different when you've got someone by your side...
She told you about the guy... and that he too had lost his wife...
"And guess what Sweetie... he also has a son about your age..." she said.
"Well, I've always wanted to have a brother you know..." you replied making her smile. Well, it's true... you've always wished to have a sibling, although in a different way... but hey, at least it's finally gonna happen.

One day, your mom told you to go home as soon as your classes were over, she said she was finally going to introduce you to your future step-father... and to be honest, you were pretty excited as much as she is...
Well, you've missed your dad, and to think that you're finally going to have a step-dad seem to be a great idea. You just hope your life wouldn't end up like Cinderella, you know, like having an evil step-mother and step-sisters who would keep on ranting at you, making you do all the chores... well, in your case it's going to be a step-dad and step-brother...
...as soon as you reached your home...
"Hannah... this is Michael, the one I've been telling you about..." she said, introducing a tall handsome guy at his 40's.
You smiled.
"Hi Hannah... it's nice to finally meet you. You know, your mom has told me a lot of things about you." He said and reached out his hand.
"You did?" You turned to look at your mom who only smiled in reply.
"...oh yeah, I almost forgot... I'm Hannah, and it's nice to finally meet the guy behind my mom's smile." You said and shook hands with Michael.
"Thank you Mr. Uhhh-" you said, unsure about how to address him.
"Dad. You can call me Dad." He suggested, making you smile.
That was fast. You thought.
...one thing's for sure tho... you didn't need to worry about the fate of getting crushed in the evil clutches of a wicked step-dad. He's definitely a nice guy. You could tell... and you have a feeling that he's going to be a great step-dad. No wonder your mom chose him, he's got the looks and yeah, definitely a good heart.
Just then the door behind you threw open.
"I'm sorry I'm late, we had dance rehearsals..." said someone from behind you.
"It's okay dear, you're actually just in time..." your mother said.
"Hannah, I'd like you to meet Kai. And Kai, this is my daughter, Hannah." The mere mention of that familiar name, you turned to look at the guy behind you, and surprisingly you were right all along...
Kai, the school's most popular guy, is going to be your step-brother...
"You.." you said in chorus.
"Oh, it looks like you already know each other..." Your "Dad" said.

Personally, I like Growl. It has always been my favorite, and it just never gets old, to me at least. Plus the fact that they are still 12 there... and gosh! Luhan's pink hair just drives me crazy.. XD
