Your POV

Me and my best friends went to the beach together. It has been years since I went swimming, so I was definitely excited to take a dip in the water. Unfortunately, I went to the part where it was deeper than expected, and to make things worse, I started to get cramps, I couldn't swim properly. I started to call for help, but none of my friends knew how to swim in deep water, so everyone started to panic. I was so nervous I thought it was the end of me. I couldn't think straight, and the last thing I knew I was already drowning and everything went black.

Baekhyun's POV

It has been a few days since my first day of work as a lifeguard, and so far nothing has happened yet. Hey, I know it's bad to wish for something to happen but I sure wish I could save someone, I mean, what's the purpose of being a lifeguard when no one has ever been in peril.

...just then...

"Look! Someone's drowning!"

"There she is, at the far end of the beach!"

My attention was caught when I heard the word drowning.

"Finally, someone to save. Now I can finally be of use." I whispered, as a smile appeared on my face.

O.o

I mentally slapped myself.

Byun Baek Hyun. Someone is drowning and your smiling like a freak. -_- I told myself.

...I immediately rushed towards the shore and dove like an Olympic Swimmer to get to the drowning lady. It took me a few minutes to get her since she was at the far end corner of the beach. As soon as I reached her, I placed her arms around my shoulder and swam back to the shore, careful enough not to let go of her.

Upon reaching the beach front, I laid her slowly on her back. People started to gather around us so I told them to stand back to give us enough air.

I can hear her friends worried cries. I know they care for their friend so much, which made me more nervous. I have to do this right. It's my first time to save someone, but I know I can do this, besides, I didn't train for nothing, right?

I placed my ear next to her mouth and nose. I tried to check if she was still breathing, but I couldn't feel any air on my cheek. Her chest isn't even moving. So I tried to check her pulse for 10 seconds, and since there isn't any, I decided to perform CPR.

I honestly thought I was going to fail, but a few minutes later she suddenly spit out water and she was finally breathing again.

"Y/N!" Her friends called out as they ran towards her.

"I'm glad you're okay."

"We were so worried, don't you scare us like that again okay?"

They all told her as they hugged her.

I felt relieved. I'm glad I did something nice today.

One of her friends thanked me for saving their friend, while the rest helped the girl go back to her cottage. She needs to rest.

I smiled and took my things, and slowly headed off to my station.

---
I was still in my station by 3:00 in the afternoon, I was busy watching out for people. I would often call the attention of small children playing by the shore without parents supervision, but other than that everything seem to be fine.

Just then I saw a girl approaching me, I couldn't see her face because she was wearing this huge beach hat. I went down my station to meet her, maybe she has something to say.
