The sun was shining bright but it was freezing outside I had to pull my scarf across my neck as I sat down the bench we usually would sit on.
Minutes later I felt someone sit beside me, my smile grew wide as I saw whom it was, my best pal...
"Sehun..." I smiled.
He smiled right back at me: a smile that made me feel warm all of a sudden.
I still couldn't figure out what he has that makes me feel all mushy inside.
Is it because of the way he stares at me?
Is it because of the way his eyes twinkle?
The way he smiles?
The way he talks?
Laughs?
Is it because of his mere presence?
Or the fact that...
I've fallen for this guy.
I don't know about him but it suddenly felt too quiet, it became a little awkward for me. I didn't know what to say or what to do now that he's here.
Minutes later...
"Hey Y/N, I have to tell you something.."/"Sehun, there's something I have to tell you." We chorused, which only made us laugh.
"uhh, you go first." I told him.
"No, Ladies first, remember?" He said. Knowing that he wouldn't let me win, I just nodded and took a deep breath before telling him what I had in mind.
"Look, I've been wanting to tell you this ever since I can remember but I never had the courage to tell you.." I started as I bit my lower lip. I slowly raised my head to look him in the eye.. to try and read what he has in mind, but it was no use. I'm definitely not a mind-reader.
He looked at me and smiled, encouraging me to go on and finish what I have to say.
I smiled. "Please don't judge..."
"Of course I wouldn't-"
"and please, don't look at me differently after this." I said without letting him finish his sentence.
He looked at me, assuring me that everything was gonna be okay, although I can tell he was already confused.
"Promise me..." I said, looking at him with pity.
"I promise." He smiled.
"I like you Sehun... it's been years when I started to feel different whenever you're around.
...that weird yet amazing feeling that makes my heart pump and the butterflies in my stomach go wild...
I don't know but I just feel happy when I lay my eyes on you. And right now, despite of the cold weather, seeing you makes me all warm inside..." I smiled and looked at him but instead of feeling light as a feather after I was able to bring out all I was carrying in my chest for years, I felt a lot heavier... His face showed a lot of emotions, but one thing was for sure, he didn't like what I just said.
