Last night was magical but nothing more sensual happened after the kiss. Charles and I just watched movies and ate popcorn.
"So we're like official now?" he said as he wrapped his hand onto mine.
"You could say that," I replied.
He added, "But I wanted to go through the asking stage.
I bit my lip and look intently into his eyes, "You can ask me now."
He took a deep breath and held my hand to his chest, "Vivienne, Vie, my dearly beloved beautiful, ravishing, beguiling, lovely, exquisite..."
"I'm listening," I cut him off. A wide grin appeared on my face.
He continued, "My love, will you be my girlfriend?" I went near his face and kissed his tender lips. He grabbed my head and pulled me towards his, wanting to have one more taste of my soul that he set on fire. He lit my soul like Christmas lights decorated on a household, so bright outside the cold lonely dark place. I pulled back for a moment to tell him my answer.
"Yes."
Morning came and I was so ready to go to school with my man. Nana knew eventually. There was no way of hiding it from her. When she saw Charles put his arm around my waist and planted a kiss on my lips, her eyes widened and she put her hand on her chest. She later gave us a thumbs-up.
"Finally! There's my boy!" Nana exclaimed.
Charles then said, "And here's my girl," while disheveling my hair. I pinched his side, annoyed for messing up my hair.
"Bye Nana!" we both said.
In school, we were just being the weird and proud new couple (wearing of couple shirts was not included). Charles jokingly said that we should kiss on our way to class. I declined that idea because that was disgusting and creepy. Julia appeared in the hallway and greeted us.
"Why do you have that big smile on your faces?" Julia asked, looking suspicious with her eyebrows narrowed and eyes squinted. I pushed Charles aside, grabbed Julia and we went a meter away from Charles.
Julia guessed it before I could tell her. "Oh my god, Vie!"
"I know!" was all I said. We both squealed and jumped like twelve year-olds. Few seconds later, we composed ourselves, took a deep breath and went back to Charles.
"Someone is excited," said Charles as he placed his hand on my back.
"Well I never got to do that until a while ago," I responded. Charles gave me a quick kiss on the lips just when I saw Jay in my peripheral vision looking at us. I was about to tell him to wait for me since we have the same first period. However, he immediately left without saying a word.
"See you at lunch," Charles said to me. The bell rang and it was cue for us to get separated and go to class.
I sat beside Jay during our Literature class. When I went to my chair, I looked at him but he was busy scribbling something.
"Hey Jay! What's that?" I initiated.
But all he said was, "Hey." Jay had been acting very weird lately. Thankfully, Mr. Adler arrived sparing me from another rejection by Jay. I focused on Mr. Adler who looked rather stunning today despite those tired gray eyes and messy brown hair. But it's his jaw line and thick German accent that totally made him hot, and maybe the fact that he's single and currently sober. I was daydreaming too much that I didn't realize Mr. Adler was calling my attention.
